RE: Gillette releases new toxic masculinity commercial: "The Best Men Can Be"
At 1:03 they even demonize cold approaching. Narrator bleats "act the right way" as a man notices a hot girl passing by, follows his masculine instinct and makes to approach, only to be stopped by his "friend" who stiff arms him and chastises him: "not cool, not cool."

Fucking disgusting, would love to know what convinced Gillette the average guy would be persuaded by this shit.

Truly pathetic. A far cry from what Gillette used to be:

The movement to destroy all things masculine is a very real thing, guys.

I lasted 40 seconds into that commercial before exiting out.

I now have to spend the rest of the day re-watching a season of The Sopranos.

Quote:The products sold by Gillette and other companies cost as little as 5p to make, industry insiders have revealed.

But consumers are charged up to £2.43 a piece - a mark-up of more than 4,750 per cent.

In other words, you don't buy the product, you pay for shitty commercials and video clips like that.

Not sure who the target demo is anyway. Most soyboys are bearded hipsters.

RE: Gillette releases new toxic masculinity commercial: "The Best Men Can Be"
Even when I used cartridges I never bought gillette. Ridiculously and weirdly overpriced, they are so fucking expensive.

Been so satisfied since I switched to safety razors. Aside from the upfront cost of the handle, brush, and bowl, it's been extremely cheap to shave with how little the blades cost. And it's a closer shave that feels better too. I could never go back to shelling out so much money for cartridges.

I'm not surprised they're hopping on the bandwagon. Every firm at this point is doing it. How about just shut up and sell your product, you don't have some overarching responsibility to tell the public how to act or what to believe. You sell razor blade cartridges, shut up.

Kinda funny that Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots, is where tough, masculine men go out and do battle every Sunday.

I'll take your collective word that it's about as transparent as anti-SWM propaganda can get. I've got better things to do with that ~2 min. of my life.

Also, you DSC proponents seem to forget that they, too, are owned by a globalist titan (Unilever).

Right the hell is wrong with ad girls in that company, its 1:50 min long and no one is going to keep focus on that ad. The entire ad is too preachy and I stop listening after awhile. The only gillette product I use in this day and age is Slim Razor from the 1974, a time when products were made to last. There is whole market for old fashion gillette razors on ebay, forums, and websites. You got with numerous brands of safety razor blades on the market to use along with soaps and brushes. Fuck P&G.

RE: Gillette releases new toxic masculinity commercial: "The Best Men Can Be"
The commercial literally has a guy stop another guy from attempting to approach an attractive woman. He forcibly puts his hand on his abdomen and says"not cool dude, not cool."-Worst part is it is a black dude stopping a white dude (which is gay, and no real black man would tell a white dude not to approach a woman)-the people behind this commercial really think that talking to women on the street is wrong, I should stop other men from doing it,and it is aspirational behavior -Now buy our product.

RE: Gillette releases new toxic masculinity commercial: "The Best Men Can Be"
I kicked Gillette a few years ago - shit prices for shit razors - and, I believe at an RVF suggestion courtesy of Kamikaze, went in for the Merkur safety razor.

[Image: merkur-23c-long-handle-safety-razor-2_59...1539215294]

Simple, plain, zero-bullshit (read: masculine) design, tough as hell, and a zillion times closer of a shave than any of Gillette's garbage. Got it with a 100 pack of Personna double-edge razor blades. Haven't had to replace it once since I bought it. Never looked back. Gillette is no more to me today than a sour, distant memory.

From the first three seconds of that ad, which is all I could bring myself to watch, I think I made the right choice. Thanks Kamikaze!

They went too far this time. Just show me how good your razor is, what it can do for me and how it can help my appearance. I don't need to know or care about your personal or political values of your business.

Its a just ploy to appeal to masses and get more money cause its the "cool" thing to do at the moment. These companies really don't give a fuck at the end of the day anyway.

RE: Gillette releases new toxic masculinity commercial: "The Best Men Can Be"
I don't even mind this kind of stuff anymore.

A key part of our victory is going to be unplugging a certain demographic. That demographic I affectionately call: "The 9-5-fantasy-sports-Sunday-football-couchpotato-boozehound." It's basically a normie with limited critical thinking skills whose biggest financial risk is their fantasy football pool and their highlight activity is watching a string of sportsball games in a drunken stupor.

The more discomfort that they feel upon seeing open attacks on white males during their sportsball games, the better it is for our cause.

Most guys are either indifferent to politics or sheeps being blindly told what to do by the women in their social circle and their favorite 24 year old jersey hero. We don't want our thoughts to be limited to RVF forever. We want guys to not be able to go anywhere on the internet without seeing "SJW bullshit" plastered everywhere.

I find the number of people who are ok with this to be disturbing. Personally I would love to see P&G go under in the coming recesion.

I started growing a beard again and I hope to rival Roosh's beard in the next year. Personally I use a razor I'm going to make the switch to Harry's. They seem like a good alternative and more affordable too.

It's a feels commercial: the target demo isn't men, it's married women shopping for their domesticated dad bod husbands. The message is "We're the nice company that cares about women's issues like feeling not so fresh or having blue liquid poured onto absorbent materials. These razors will make your jerk husband stop arguing with you all the time and spend more quality time with his stepson Deshawn."

Best comment - that gets deleted again and again:

Quote:My wife's boyfriend loved this. Thank you!

The West needs war soon - maybe it's good that it's going down. When you worry about getting raped or shot around the next corner, then you don't have time to worry about imaginary #metoo problems and "toxic masculinity".

It's all a push that comes at the same time.

The good old times when the positives of masculinity were shown:

Since when was it ever inspiration for a man to see some aggro-bitch lecturing us about our supposed shortcomings?

This ad is as insane as Disney going full woke first with Star Wars and now soon Marvel. Maybe similar to Star Wars the blue-haired feminazis will buy all the razors.

Theres a part in this ad where they cut away to a tv that shows some girls gone wild pool party with some chick grinding on a guy and clearly enjoying it.

So it's ok for women to act like toxic whores.Dodgy

The daughters watching today will be the sluts of tomorrow.
