Threaded Mode | Linear Mode

I visit some other MMA and Jiu Jitsu forums, and most of them have some form of user voted awards. Thought it would be fun to do here. Could have several categories and maybe the winners could have a custom avatar created for them or something.

Categories could be things like:
Best International Player
Best Data Sheet
Best Dressed Player
Funniest Thread
Most Knowledgeable Poster
Most Helpful Poster
Best "Game" Thread
Best Up And Coming Poster/Player
Best Young Player
Etc.

Not sure if this forum supports multiple polls in a thread, but it could be done fairly easily and for free with PollDaddy.com I believe.

What yall think?

It's true, this is brilliant, but it could lead to disaster. A true player is ultra-confident, bordering on delusional. Half of the guys on here would think they're entitled to all of the categories--a sweep.

It does sorta remind me of this, though. We could have the "ceremony" in Montreal:

I think the awards should be objective and based on contributions in the forum. How can we vote on "best dressed" when we don't know how 99% of members look?

How about these categories to start:

Most Memorable Troll (Just give it to Dash right now!)
Best Data Sheet
Funniest Thread
Most Knowledgeable Poster
Most Helpful Poster
Best Game Thread
Best Individual Post

One way to do is to start a thread for nominees. Get the top 5 results, then start a new thread with (private) voting options. This can be done for each category for 2011 only.

How about a catagory 'Worst Hype Thread'? Needs to be done.

There should be a best thread for each section, I think.
