I have no allegiance to any of these countries..I just think its interesting to watch the videos and see what each country sends as something to not only represent their countries music..but try to win the Contest.

I have been getting constant updates from friends in Malmo. The party is raging (I had tickets to tomorrow and Saturdays finals but I had to give them up) and a lot of fun. So many hot women just having a blast.

My pick this year is Margaret Berger from Norway. I have liked her music for a while so its good to see her represent.

Damn Scandinavia is good at this event.

The music in Eurovision, in general, is really low-quality pop music.

That said, it's still fun to watch especially when you're in Europe and everyone's all excited and has parties about it.

I'm surprised Montenegro didn't go through. Their act was a breath of fresh air compared to the other crap. Gee - dubstep isn't poppy enough for this generation?

I was trying to be in Malmo for this. Fucking love Eurovision it's tacky pop at its finest. Especially enjoy the EE and Balkan entries. Instead I'll b looking for where the Swedish party is in London. Any ideas?

Me and the lads play a Eurovision drinking game. We pick countries out of a hat and when voting happens say your country gets 12 points you pick one of the lads to take 3 gulps of ale, 10 is 2, 8 is 1. Really fucks you up, great fun.

I miss Terry Wogan as commentator. He would poke fun at odd antics of some groups but he was still into it. I think he stopped because he was so disgusted at Britain's poor performance one year.

Eurovision's never been my thing. Too many joke acts, not enough quality. Thanks, Lordi...

I completely lost interest when Finland sent a "punk-band" comprised of retards as their entry. (This was after the bearded lady, Conchita Wurst, won)

Two years ago in the company of a very nice Belorusskaya, I sat down to watch the Eurovision. It was the first time I had since Lordi won it way back in 2006. I had a wager on Lordi and I won big. I had a good weekend in Killarney on the back of my earnings.

Anyway, after a painful 2+ hours, I had come to the conclusion that every single song had sounded the exact same. The same timbre, beat, act, rythmn etc. It was trashy Europop flop. My boredom was temporarily relieved by the voting which had since long descended into a political farce. Of all my 35+ years, only two songs stand out for me.

Johnny Logan's win for Ireland back in 1987 is a classic pop ballad that actually topped the charts in many European countries.




And finally, the greatest Eurovision that never was. The lovely Amina from France. Robbed by a dirge from Sweden.




Will I be watching it this year you may ask? Quick answer. No.

I believe I read Ukraine has banned the Russian singer from entering Ukraine. (who was a disabled person), as she once had a concert in Crimea.

Jeez, just seen they've even banned Steven Seagal from entering Ukraine for five years, identifying him as a threat to national security.

I like oldies, Sandy Shaw in 1967 was a class act.





Also ABBA in 1974.





But for me the best entry ever, simply hypnotizing, Ukraine's Ani Lorak in 2008 with "Shady Lady", came at second unfortunately, if she was a political act she would have won like Jamala last year with a pathetic song.





Speaking of Jamala, Russia's Sergei Lazarev also kicked ass last year...
