Ever suspect you're talking to a forum lurker?
In real life? On a few occasions I've talked to people that I suspect come here. This one dude at a casino in Santo Domingo had all the signs. I asked him why he was there and he was vague. Did not seem like a typical tourist.

On Sunday I bought a new pair of running shoes and I told the sales guys who seemed like he had some serious by game watching him with the girls around that I wasn't down with the orange on the soles. He said "dude running is a peacocking sport" WTF? I just looked at him.

Have any of you ever ran into this or am I crazy/ paranoid?

I'm going to get this t-shirt and experiment

RE: Ever suspect you're talking to a forum lurker?
I know what you mean, but I haven't met anyone who I suspect is in on this site. I have however run into people that I suspect have knowledge of the topics discussed here. One of my friends talks to me all the time about game stuff, but phrases it differently but you can tell he knows whats up. A guy from highschool who is a total douchebag but talks to me sometimes about macking on chicks but uses the weirdest lingo so I think hes from some weird corner of the internet.

I kind of wish I would run into someone who either lurks or posts here, that'd be cool. I saw a guy at the strip club once talking to the strippers. He was suited down drinking goose+sodas I got excited and thought it was the G but then I saw the guy had whack game. Maybe he just read the g manifesto.

I wouldn't be surprised. I estimate there are at least several thousand guys out there who are very familiar with the forum.

For every active member, there are probably 20 casual lurkers.

Yes, I think Roosh has lots and lots of silent supporters.

I was walking down the street in the city that i'm in now, and I heard a guy talking about how to improve his "day game", I stopped for a minute and said "huh"?

I don't think it's being crazy or paranoid, I just think that a lot of this knowledge is starting to spread to a broader audience. whether they use it to work on themselves, well that remains to be seen.

RE: Ever suspect you're talking to a forum lurker?
I remember going to a business presentation day and was talking with some guy about internet marketing, and it turned out he was a lurker of a pretty obscure programming forum I go on. It was a bit bizarre meeting a forum dude in real life, I felt like I was in Fight Club.

Oh, and by the way, Hi lurkers. Come and join in.

We're all out there. It is easy to spot guys who are new to game when you're out and about. The routines, the approaches. I liken it to 'telegraphed' punches in martial arts. Lot of guys just learning to walk. Good job to them. I figure girls probably have the same when Cosmo puts out a 'new makeup secret' or whatever.

Even in the universe of game, RV/RVF is a small portion of the whole.

To make a comparison, the 4HWW has been an international bestseller for years, and millions have read it, but it has changed very little for the general population. Of my classmates from undergraduate and graduate school, none are living that lifestyle. Most work in shitty pressure cooker banks or lawfirms, and a few have their own businesses but their models are not conducive to a high degree of automation.
Even among those who have read it, like an idiot fuck buddy of mine out west who works herself to death owning 6 subways and had the 4HWW in the trunk of her car, few actually make substantial and lasting change.

I posted it a while back in the Day Game thread, but this guy tried to Elderly Open my gal in a quintessential Day Game locale. It was like Roosh was typing the words into his mouth... man was he dejected when I showed up amused by his questions that could have been easy answered by his phone.

I should have confirmed it was Roosh-related, but I told him to keep approaching women and stay confident. The odds of him not being a lurker here were low... high traffic locale? Check. Elderly open? Check. Systematically playing a numbers game? Check. It's possible he came up with the strategy on his own, but I'd seriously doubt it.

Man, I need to get me one of those Tuthmosis t-shirts. I love how they have me stepping forward, as if emerging from the afterlife.

I've suspected a couple of times I was talking to a member or lurker, but confirmed that I wasn't. I guess it's only a matter of time.

I think the odds of running into another RVF member randomly are extremely low, with the possible exception of if you're in a specific location that's gotten a lot of attention on the forum (like Por Aca in Mendoza or Emporio in Rio). I have run into other guys who are familiar with game pretty regularly, though. It seems like most American men in their 20s have at least a passing knowledge of it.

I have a fraternity brother who I'm pretty sure reads Roosh, probably lurks the forum and is maybe even a member.

Some of his quotes:
1. "Its all a numbers game"
2. "Don't put pussy on a pedestal"
3. "You get punished for not escalating"

A very red-pill guy but doesn't approach/ fuck that many girls.

I think it's just the fact that this forum is full of guys who embody the true nature of man.

Even though society tries to suppress it, a man's true nature it inevitably comes out from time to time.

A while back my roommate said he was going to stop watching porn, and explained that if his only option was to get real pussy he would probably have the motivation to go chase broads.

That's just masculine common sense.

Now, if I overheard talk about Indian race trolls it would be a different story.

Ive actually met 2 guys IRL and our casual conversations somehow ended up about game after mentioning women and travel. From there the forum got mentioned and we had our Fight Club-esque acknowledgement moment, it was pretty funny.

Neither guy posts here often but they fully embrace red pill thought self improvement and game. All around solid dudes.

RE: Ever suspect you're talking to a forum lurker?
I think my brother lurks on here, or did.

A while after he left his psycho GF he was in limbo and didn't go to the gym. I went off the University and for a while heard nothing.

Then my dad says he took up going to the gym like I did and started slaying women off OKC, POF, Tinder etc. Think he got more than me on those fronts but I dont talk to him much.

I mentioned it to him at Christmas and asked if he read some book and I made a gun with my hand and said "bang". He looked at me puzzled but with a smile and a glint in his eye.

Definitely a signal of sorts.

On my team at work, we work with this horrible proprietary corporate website. One of the guys mentioned to us in a meeting once: "Little server hamsters can't handle it anymore."

i almost fell off my chair.

Come on in forum lurkers!

You guys know the code.

"Excuse me, do you know where the nearest pet shop is?"
"Why yes, and I believe they have a very particular breed of hamster."

Ask the petshop line if you suspect. Any answer involve hamsters, and you're talking to someone in the know.

For the record, I haven't really met many I thought were lurkers, but I did have a guy recommend heartsie and rationalmale's blogs in conversation as something I'd like. I got a big grin and said, "I already read them." Good dude.

Read my work on Return of Kings here.

The unfortunate truth is a very miniscule minority implements it. That's what makes lurkers hard to detect.

I straight up asked a few guys if they knew the RVF but I always just get a blank look. One guy I'm not 100% sure he was being honest. Pussy.

I've been straight up asked once if I was "Deluge", but under my old username. It was a guy from the local game community though, I just never knew he read Roosh since most of those guys are mainly into RSD and SimplePickup. Suffice to say my jaw hit the floor.

I agree. Good game material is not tough to find. I would say probably 10% or so of all men are aware of it. Out of that 10%, maybe 1-2% actually apply things.

Yes! A confirmed one actually. He was at a language exchange in Serbia... I wish I'd have written down how the conversation went but as usual we stared talking about the women of said country and the differences between EE and western women and the name Roosh was suddenly mentioned and it was like an ah-ha moment. There was a pause and we suddenly started speaking completely honestly.

That's what I like about this forum, it's kind of meeting another ex-military dude... you both may not have had all the same experiences but there is a commonality there that no one else fully gets.

I was once at my gym and overheard these two dudes talking about Pro-hormones, kratom, and why feminism is so bad. It was like a 1/3 roosh, 1/3 gll and 1/3 victor pride rolled up into one. I lingered and eventually spoke to the two dudes. They were about as cool as I figured they'd be and very much tuned into this part of the web. What was nice was that they didn't look like your typical keyboard commandoes: They were well-built, articulate and and seemed to have their shit together.

Let us try to maintain a higher standard of life than that of the multitude, but not a contrary standard; otherwise, we shall frighten away and repel the very persons whom we are trying to improve.

I think deep down a lot of men believe most of this stuff anyways but very few act on it.
I have a couple friends have repeatedly said red pill shit indicating their awareness of womens' deceptive nature but they got married without a prenup anyways. The emotional pull is too strong for them.

I'm naturally a bit of an introverted asshole so it's always been easy for me to cut ties and see the big picture. I think most men are too socially dependent on a group to do cold approaches or expat etc...
