Guys, where would you stay while taveling abroad? a hotel? a hostel? Couchsurfing? Airbnb??
I'm traveling soon to europe and i would like to know your thoughts about this. If using couchsufing, is it better to stay with a girl or a guy? hostels are better to meet female travelers? what about having a place to bring sluts to slay?
Any comments or thoughts are welcomed!

Somewhere you have a private room and can take girls back is all that matters. Hostels not best advised as they rarely let outside guests in. Make sure your hotel, guestroom or serviced apartment allows guests to come back, email before you go. CS isn't good unless you want to fuck the host.

I do hotels and also apartments. I prefer an apartment, but there are some hotels that I can get suites in which give me many (but not all) of the apartment benefits.

For my next few trips I'm looking into Airbnb as a great option. I want to avoid living in a hostel dorm room with other people but I don't have the bank-roll to pay for most hotels long-term. With Airbnb you can filter for private rooms and another benefit is that you already have your accomodation taken care of when you hit the ground and won't have to spend time looking for suitable apartments which can be a bitch. If I find a hostel with private rooms and kitchen at an affordable price I might still go with that, however.

I prefer apartments when I am staying in an area for an extended period of time. If I only plan on staying for a day or two a hostel is good or if I am looking for an apartment. Hotels are safer and easier to bring chicks back to, plus it also takes away the look of a broke backpacker. Stay at a hotel and you can tell people you are there on work. Meaning you will be coming back on a regular basis. Having an apartment often is better because it makes the appearance that you live there. When I lived in Costa Rica for a while I had two apartments. One where I could go and party with my friends and another where I could bring a chick back to until I got to know her. Two friends and myself shared the 2nd apartment. The other one was my alone.

Apartments all the way for me. Will do hotels for 2-3 days max but anything longer has to be an apartment. I like the ability to cook my own meals and stuff like this. Having a private apartment is much more beneficial than a hotel room IMO.

Why not just find a serviced apartment online before you go to save looking when you arrive?

I'm with LifeBeginsAt40. Definitely apartments. I did think a short while back that a private room at a hostel would be a good bet, since there's more social interaction than at a hotel, but I probably have to admit to myself that I just like my own private space. Only problem with apartments is that they often wont rent to you for just 1 or 2 nights. That's often too much of a pain for the owner who would rather just wait for a booking of a week, say.

For future trips I'll be looking at Airbnb. Only learned about it on this forum. Don't know how I missed it. Previously have used craigslist and othet crappy sites to find accomodation. Airbnb looks like it's orders of magnitude better that the sites I had been using.

That would be ideal and I've tried it but without any luck. If you know where to find serviced apartments online in countries like Brazil and the FSU (off the beaten track), I would love to hear about it.

Scarecrow, it depends on how successful you are.

If you are a pussy magnet then renting an apartment is a better idea, but check into a few days first and make new friends and enjoy yourself, pub crawls, dorm sex you will have a great time.

If you're a stereotypical beta, then don't fool yourself into thinking you will need an apartment in pussy paradise, you will just be jizzing over the walls on your own

In a hostel, if you get a bang then you can always upgrade to a private room

Cheap hotels, they're a little more expensive than a hostel but worth it. You can actually bring local girls back and it's a private room. Call me old fashioned, but I don't really like the idea of plowing some girl while the dude in the bunk above me madly faps away to us.

The problem was that what I found was kind of expensive but I might have found something a little bit cheaper now. Anyhow, it's definately worth it to pay a little more if it means you don't have to worry about where to stay when you get there. If you're staying really long-term you can always upgrade after a few months.
