Yes and no, old ugly expats who go to expat bars where most of the women are prostitutes or semi prostitutes will do just fine....you could be sitting at the bar clinically dead and those girls would be milling around you...

The expat bars I would skip entirely though, go to local bars, where the only foreigners if any will be english teachers, you will have to work at it in these places, mostly univ students and some are snooty bitches, but yes still a lot easier than most other places in the world.

This doesn't take away from everything else Brazil has to offer, however.

The perfect country to expatriate to, in my opinion, from an economic and corresponding lifestyle standpoint would be one who's economic prospects aren't going to increase that dramatically in the near future. Of course, if you have the means, you can try to position yourself to capitalize on a possible currency appreciation relative to your native countries currency, in a country like Brazil. However, this is much easier said than done, especially as a foreigner.

For the short term, the considerations mentioned above don't really matter.
