Top 10 activities to master for life & game purposes
I'll start off.

Language learning is excluded as its a huge topic on its own.

* Martial arts - keeps you fit and testosterone-fueled while teaching you how to kick ass.
- Difficulty/time investment: 8/10
- Cost: Involves instruction, so around $100/month for good quality
- Payback (life): 10/10
- Payback (game): 7/10
- Me: I've recently signed up for Krav Maga

* Surfing - chicks totally dig the surfer types, and you can get all Zen about it, riding each wave as it comes, etc.
- Difficulty/time investment: 4/10
- Cost: Imagine it's low, you need what, a car, a surfboard, and that's pretty much it?
- Payback (life): 6/10
- Payback (game): 7/10
- Me: Have yet to try it regretfully, especially disgraceful as I live in CA.

* Sailing - cool skill to have, and helps with escape game.
- Difficulty/time investment: 2/10
- Cost: Varies. From symbolic sums among co-op type sailing clubs to $100 per lesson. Here you have to hunt for bargains.
- Payback (life): 6/10
- Payback (game): 7/10
- Me: I'm a beginner and currently going out for lessons.

* Gambling - preferably poker, as you can actually come away with profits if you're good; also, in cognitive and psychological terms, a good poker player will develop many of the same features as a good businessman and a good player. Casinos are also a great place to take a girl to.
- Difficulty/time investment: 8/10 (need to get thinking cap on, and seriously study and takes notes on theory)
- Cost: Very little, as long you win! Smile
- Payback (life): ?/10 (depends on too many factors)
- Payback (game): Varies. Online, like me, or with beta friends, like Roosh once, zilch. But a DHV in a casino.
- Me: A couple years back I managed to work myself up to the point I could make minimal wage doing 4 low-stakes tables simultaneously online; since then, I've given up as I ceased improving, and the Man got anal about restricting online American poker players' rights.

* Skiing/snowboarding - besides being awesome in every respect, it attracts very adventurous girls, very loose ones too apres-ski and after. A substantial percentage of my bangs came via ski trips. Ideally, you would want to have a cabin, but this is financially unrealistic for many and what usually happened we rented and packed it up like a sardine can, which complicates logistics.
- Difficulty/time investment: 6/10
- Cost: Expensive I'm afraid, no matter how well you scrounge.
- Payback (life): 7/10
- Payback (game): 5/10
- Me: I am happy to say that this is one skill I've pretty much mastered, being fine with double diamonds and off piste.

* Hypnosis - heard it works for that Steve P. guy.
- Difficulty/time investment: ?
- Cost: ?
- Payback (life): A lot?
- Payback (game): A lot lot?
- Me: Have no idea how to do it or even how to start learning it).

* Juggling - the more balls the merrier.
- Difficulty/time investment: Gets progressively harder. It took me 2 days to master 3 balls. 4 balls? Have yet to get it LOL. To get awesome at it is every bit as hard as becoming a martial arts master or guitar virtuoso IMO.
- Cost: $5
- Payback (life): 1/10
- Payback (game): 3/10
- Me: cool party trick, DHV, but won't get girls jumping on you.

* Playing songs with guitar - Super sick skill that is a real babe magnet.
- Difficulty/time investment: 9/10
- Cost: $500 for good guitar, then lessons - $20 per hour? Not the cheapest activity.
- Payback (life):
- Payback (game):
- Me: A skill I would really like to have, but alas and alack, it's probably something I should have started doing a decade ago. Takes 5 years of solid investment in practice to get any good at it. I do not expect I will ever bother.

* Latin dances - very cool to have as DHV and for a few occasions.
- Difficulty/time investment: 5/10
- Cost: Class costs vary, $12 / class is not atypical.
- Payback (life): 7/10
- Payback (game): 8/10
- Me: I did dances like rumba, Argentine tango, salsa, cha cha cha for half a year a few years back. I still remember most of the moves. It's a great DHV for girls ("hey there's this cool thing I wanna show you..." game) but unfortunately we're no longer in the 19th century or even the 50's and folks nowadays are no longer cultured they are into hip hop and spastic movements and grinding and shit.

* Scuba diving -
- Difficulty/time investment: 4/10
- Cost: ?
- Payback (life): 7/10
- Payback (game): probably low, though can get cool stories I imagine
- Me: I may be visiting Australia in half a year's time and if so that's something I'll definitely try out.

Any other good suggestions?

(1) It's a cool thing to do and be able to talk about.

(2) It makes for excellent dates. When out in the open, deliberately let the boat tip over, making her all scared and wet.

(3) As mentioned, good for escape game.

Not much. (Hence, the 3/10). But it's a cool thing to do at parties.

Nice thread, but I find juggling a waste of time really. And Gambling can really ruin your life if you are weak and lack self control.

Chess.

I still need to pic up this skill but I admire it because it teaches you immense patience and strategy which helps in game and all other facets of life.

The masters of the masters player and dominate chess.

Golf.

I am slowly getting into this and I can see now why it lures so many men to play it. Its a game that you get lost in but still requires immense skill to master while still being brutally competitive. With a team or simply just challenging yourself or the course.

Challenging your self to get better with each shot. But still instilling discipline to take time to improve your game. You have to put in the hours to be come a good player there is no way around it. This is true for any task to be a master at it you have to put in the time and challenge yourself accordingly.

Weightlifting

Is one also which gives quick gratification that men need but also providing long term goals to reach and develop.

Invite some chicks for a day-long sailing practice some 20 miles off the coast. If you're the skipper, then they're putting their lives in your hands, which elevates your value. Moreover, if you make a move, they cannot escape, for swimming 20 miles is not an option ;-)

i've skied VT, and all the apres ski areas to pick up chix are the bars anyway lower down on the mountain. skiing/boarding itself in this case is pretty useless except to tell stories and relate on a commonality - u just need to party! talk to a few cute girls on the chairlifts but its only about 1 out of every 50-100 lift rides up you get next to a couple cute girls.

the bottom line is all these activities are there to reinforce your inner game and your overall development as a human, but really are not essential to 'game' itself persay.

Dealing Drugs

- Difficulty/time investment: 10/10
- Cost: Can start small, grows quickly
- Payback (life): 0/10
- Payback (game): 10/10
- Me: Bitches like to get high. If you want a steady stream of 8's and above, deal drugs. Up until you end up in prison or dead, you will have lines of pussy outside your day hoping for discounts. You need a pimp hand to keep them in control

Being a bouncer

- Difficulty/time investment: 8/10
- Cost: Brain cells
- Payback (life): 5/10
- Payback (game): 10/10
- Me: Bitches like bone breaking bad asses who control entry to venues they want to be in. Natural preselection with other women wanting to bang you. Every bitch sees you dominating everything. You need a pimp hand to keep them in control

Owning a Stripclub

- Difficulty/time investment: 10/10
- Cost: High
- Payback (life): 8/10
- Payback (game): 10/10
- Me: They pay you to work for you. Wall to wall ass, all of it with no real morals and all hot enough that men give them money just to have the bitches rub all over them. You need a pimp hand to keep them in control

Porn studio

- Difficulty/time investment: 2/10
- Cost: few grand
- Payback (life): 5/10
- Payback (game): 10/10
- Me: Bitches want to be famous. They will suck a dick on camera to be famous. You are the gatekeeper to that fame. You need a pimp hand to keep them in control

________

Point I am making is that the activities you choose need to be chosen for everything but pussy. You need to enjoy them, not do it because its going to get you laid. The guys who go to gym just so that they look good for women never last, the guys who go for more reasons than that alone never leave.

Do something because you enjoy it. Your hobbies need to be things you do outside women, not for them

I'd also add to the list.

I like how "conversational skills" or "standup comedy" or anything involved with opening your mouth and talking wasn't included in the list.

Wait HH, how is making a porn studio a 2/10? It sounds way harder than it is to sell drugs.

But other than that, I say genuinely do some hobbies. If it seems like you're doing tyem for chicks they can spot you out real quick. Do them for you first.

Agree 200%, Also the OP list sounds like more self validation of a list of shit to do impress chicks, juggling wtf?

Pick one YOU are passionate about and dive in, women will be attracted to that. Most people can spot a poser have you ever hung around sufers and surfer chicks they live for that shit, they study wave reports daily, their whole lives revolve around surfing from where they live, to type of car they drive to even the people they date every thing is based on surfing. Same applies to scuba, sailing except juggling which who gives a shit, I am not a clown.

-Making money.
- Manipulation/conversation/Charisma skills.
- 3 hobbies and interests to an elite level.
- Sports/keeping in shape.
- Culinary/Domestic.

I think that covers all the bases.

This. And being a good skier will take away far more than 6/10 difficulty/time investment trust me; there's no point in being decent at best at skiing, either you rule the slopes or you get out. With that in mind freestyle skiing is the most rewarding sport I've ever come across, this links directly to what HH said, if you're looking for something that will keep you awake at night (not exaggerating) thinking how the snow will be tomorrow and how you're gonna stomp that double backflip pick up freestyle skiing. If you're serious about it and dedicated you can improve much faster than what people think although you have to be ready to endure pain and possibly injuries in your endeavor to become good at it

Instead of 10 different things, take one thing and become awesome at it. Whats cooler, a guy who can cook, do martial arts, sail, whatever.

Or a pan-am brazilian jiu jitsu medalist?

Or a guy who can shred the guitar like Steve Vai?

Or a guy who can cook like Mario Batali with random ingredients on the fly?

Or a guy who is conversational in 10 languages?
