Is it possible to unlock nowadays? My gevey stop workin a while back. Any advice? I'm in DR and need it to work with a sim from here? Sorry if this was covered but didnt see it.

They can do it at the mall depending how far it's updated. Ali knows the dude and they will put a sim in it and hand it back to you working. You will have to youtube the settings if you want picture messaging. If they can't they have a few iphone 3s and used blackberry bolds they can hook you up with. Send him a pm he'll take you over there or tell you exactly where it is.

If your iPhone 4 is out of contract (i.e. you have had it for more than 2 years), ATT will unlock it permanently and for free. Just have to call them. Otherwise, hack it as per el mechanico or check out http://www.redsn0w.us/
