Her bday was in mid-April, so I figure, 'Yeah, a gift, flowers, then I'll ask.'
So, early on the big day I give her a gift, some bullshit thing and then in the afternoon I had roses delivered. And on the card. I put ... Prom?
I go over that evening and she's all over me, because she never got flowers before etc. Her Dad didn't look all that happy, but I'd been friends with her older brother for years, so he accepted it.
Anyway, I eat dinner there, we watch TV etc., etc. ... We're having a great time. But she never brings up the prom. Finally, I ask "Did you read the card?"
She says, "Oh yeah. No, I'm going with Danny."
I felt like this dude at the :55 second mark.
There is a good ending. I've since never given flowers to another woman besides my G'ma or Mom. And she is now a fat pig that has run through three mariages with kids from each one. And I wouldn't touch her for $100,000.
Interesting story, thanks for sharing it, i was just telling my home boy about our different experiences.
Basically you had a bad experience buying flowers for a chick, therefore you now associate this as a bad move, while on my end, every time i bought women flowers, they loved it and they still treated me like a boss, therefore i interpret this as a good thing.

Oh, I don't think buying flowers is a bad thing. Not at all. Hell what are they $50, $60 bucks. In fact, it could seal the deal in some cases. I just haven't been into a girl enough to offer them. It was a 50/50 thing for me, too. She was blown away by the flowers, but Danny had a nicer car. Hahaha.

Not returning a text in one second doesn't either. You're an alpha male when other alpha males fear or sweat you. The guy that works for me does all kinds of shit to please his wife but I watched him punk a 300 lb 6+ft biker dude last week straight faced told him to shut the fuck up or else over pretty much nothing. He'll race home at 5pm for dinner though cause he doesn't want to hear her bitch.
I don't think Alpha or Beta are the right words we're using here
There is a post by Donlak (betas are the peter pans of the world) where he substitutes alpha with realists and beta with romantics. Thus the beta is the guy who believes in true love and develops oneitis for that one 'special' girl.
The alpha has an abundance mentality, sees women for what they truly are and not what he imagines, thinks any woman can be replaced and rarely falls in love.
So you have 'alphas'/romantics like Napoleon developing oneitis for Josephine and realists like Di Caprio who treat women like buses. Alpha and beta are two different mindsets on how you view women and yourself.
