I've had conspiracy theories for quite some time that there are a number of environmental factors that are contributing to the pussification of modern men. There are too many to list, but everything from soy products in everything, to contamination of ground water and processed foods, it seems that "real" men, jacked up on natural testosterone, are a threat to a subservient, obedient society.

I only drink mineral water out of glass bottles. Expensive.

A man has to actively manage his health and regularly detox.

A lot of guys say, "You don't need supplements if you eat right."

But the poisons are everywhere.

Imagine you eat an apple. Healthy, right?

What if that apple was watered with estrogen-laced water.

Now you're putting estrogen into yourself while doing something that should be healthy. (Just as "we are what we eat," plants and other animals are what they eat.)

The best I felt in years was in Costa Rica. The air and water were cleaner, and that manifested itself throughout my entire body. Skin was clearest it has ever been, my joints felt great, and my sex drive was through the roof.

Food and water in the U.S. is poison, and avoiding it is becoming harder and harder.

Agree, I was gonna mention Italy. I've never felt better. Skin, energy, mood, digestion. Digestion is a huge one, I get stomachaches almost every time I eat out, so I cook for myself most of the time. In Italy I felt like a new person.

Hell, even on my last trip to Mexico, I ventured outside of my comfort zone and ate and drank locally and thought for SURE I was gonna get sick, I wasn't nearly as conscientous as previous visits, and I felt better there than I do here.

I almost don't know what to eat anymore...

I've developed a crazy, paranoid habit checking labels whenever I shop. Fruits and veggies don't have labels on them and trust that when I buy them I'll be eating healthy. Now I read about this--great.

Mike, where do you get glass bottled water from? Or are you only drinking Perrier?

I don't see much reason to be getting neurotic over this. Consider how much beer you have to drink to grow manboobs. 1-2 litres of beer a day, every day, for years. That's for us guys. For women it's a different matter. There's a reason girls are getting younger and younger when they start puberty, and estrogen in food is probably a major reason for that.

I try and stay away from processed foods, stuff that comes packed in plastic containers ready to eat. If you really are serious about detox, you have to cut the alcohol and drugs. You drink or drug, your liver is so busy clearing that out of your system, other stuff slips by.

Maybe people are overreacting, it is usually in small or trace amounts. Balanced and nutritional diet is the good choice. I read zinc and vitamin B is good for detox from that web link.

I'm pretty sceptical about all vitamin(e) supplements as well. This went through the news recently too, I can google it for you if you want. It's actually not been conclusively proven that synthetic vitamins are absorbed by our intestines the way they are in say vegetable or meat. But the pharma industry loves them of course, imagine healthy people popping a product every single day of the week with their breakfast.

For instance some vitamins in salad are not absorbed by your body if you fore-go the salad dressing. Vitamins EDAK have a lipophilic (fatty) molecule structure and your gut is unable to take them in if they're not dispensed in fatty solution (hence the dressing, olive oil, cream etc). Eating salad with dressing is pure fiber. Basically popping a vitamin pill with your orange juice every morning probably does jack shit apart from confusing your gut aber the high concentration of complex molecules your gut is designed to absorb but can't.

If you eat meat, vegetable, fruit and live in the western hemisphere, don't have a liver or kidney disease or some other grave consuming ailment (like HIV, or cancer) there's aboslutely no way you will suffer from a vitamin deficiency.

I don't care if I'm "not sick." "Not suffering from a vitamin deficiency" isn't my goal.

My goal is to feel fucking great, to be healthy rather than merely "not sick." To have excessive energy and vitality rather than being "not deficient."

Think bigger and better than normal. Try being excellent.

When you actually run your body at a high level, and try forcing it to do hard things (like put on muscle), you'll realize the flaw in what you wrote.

I drink green tea, water. Rare occasions coffee for the tough days.

Food is all fruits/veggies and meat. Maybe 1 slice of bread a day, max.

Lots of dairy, cottage cheese, milk.

Multi-vitamin
Fish oil
Apple cider vinegar.

If water is that blasted maybe I should get off the company bottled water? Fuck me!

Synthetic Vitamins are largely pissed out. I believe only some vitamins such as Vitamin C, (some) B-Vitamins, and E can be absorbed while others are toxic or flushed.

Minerals are minerals but if it is naturally occurring in a plant or animal we eat then there should be other enzymes and such that help and aid in the absorption of that mineral.

Vitamin defficiency is hard but getting a well rounded dose daily of all of the essential nutrients is tough. You will get yourself in a position where your taking in to much of something like Vitamin A which is easy to get 700% + dosage of from a typical western diet. That stuff leads to problems in high amounts but its to damn hard to avoid. I clock in at about 178% daily of Vitamin A but to try and get enough calcium and Zinc and Magnesium in me daily from food is indeed a tough feet.

Even most foods now days are pumped full of synthetic vitamins. Its cheaper that way. So all those processed foods, especially with a long laundry list of healthy vitamins and minerals on the back are full of nothing but chemicals with no science to even prove they are are being absorbed. They simply just dump the powders in and jack it full of salt or sugar to hide the taste of it.

My key to health is organic eggs. The cholesterol wrap on them is BS as they have the beneficial strains of cholesterol not the bad. Eggs are packed full of nutrients and are affordable to eat. I eat 4-8 daily and use that as a "multi-vitamin"

The thing I hate most about the Western Diet though is how little we value food. Food is just to satisfy hunger here and nothing more. In other cultures food is such a important and respected part of life you work hard and toil to produce fruits of your labor.... food. You sit down and enjoy the best foods with family and friends and you don't skimp on shit.

Bottled Water is crap also.

It is tested less then tap water and it can sit in its plastic for months and months. That plastic ends up degrading and leeching into the water. If the store does not store it right and its in direct light it will degrade even faster... heat... yup even quicker.

Water should be stored in Glass, High Grade plastics, or Treated Clay as it has always been intended.

High grade Polyethylene is used to store water in storage situations. The crap we get in the store is cheap Polycarbonates which are packed with BPA.


One last thing about the manure. The manure is such an issue because these animals are shitting out crap. They are fed corn and low grade cereals which they are not supposed to eat. A cow shits out a steaming mound of grassy pile when its healthy and fed properly with grass and hay. This pile takes a while to break down and is full of nutrients that the ground/plants will absorb. Commercial cows literally just have diarrhea from the irritation that Corn and Soy feed gives them. They are literally shitting out the toxins their bodies can't take in and that's the stuff that leeches into our ground water.

Well, my post was in reference to vitamins only which (as you probably know) are a cataclyst to a number of functions of our metabolism, mostly enzyme synthesis. Some types of vitamins your body can make by itself, some are essential and need to be added through nutrition), however, they're only required in limited amounts. They're a rare commodity, vitamins, and the human body is designed to recycle them to the max. Hence the amount you actually need is small.

What I was trying to say overloading on vitamins won't make you feel better or perform better, quite the opposite actually, some vitamins you can overdose on, which results in toxic effects. Those effects are called hypervitaminosis (I'm sure wiki has something on it). This mainly happens with the fat-soluable vitamins EDAK and B-subtypes, because they're not as easily flushed out of your body. Just as an example, Vitamin A, take too much, your liver can't store it, it goes into your bloodstream and your skin and lips start going orange and dry, UV-B exposure will make you itch, a lot. I'm going on too long already, but anyone who has had acne and taken roacutane knows what I'm talking about it (Roacutane basically a redesigned Vit A molecule), with retains the desired effect of "drying" out the skin and therefore being effective countering acne.

Anyway. The people who get hypervitaminosis are those who go nuts on the supplements (the neurotic health crazies), you're not going to get hypervitaminosis just by eating a lot of carrots or calf liver. There are people out there who make themselves ill by trying to be too healthy.

I feel it's pretty much impossible to know what I'm being fed on a daily basis by the food industry. I get organic fruit and vege and milk 90% of the time and don't eat cheap meat. I don't overload on sugar or fast food. I feel I'm doing my part. I haven't been to a doctor in 10 years.

I saw something on tv a while back how freshly shock-frozen vege, such as spinach retains vitamins and minerals way better than 'fresh vegetable' we pick up in the store. Maybe that's worth looking into. The water thing is kinda hard cause I'm so used to evian and they don't sell it in glass in shops here. Hospitals here all have the bottled water, but it's some local water I don't like, it's too heavy and flat.

And the end of the day we're all gonna have to die of something eh.
