new orleans got mardi gras and we have voodoo fest comin up soon.

if your in miami for sure go to it man, but if I had to book tickets just to this and deal with all the transportation and stuff i personally wouldnt do it

Pitt, I am guessing it's going to be quite Latin based. Nothing like Notting Hill.

Any of you been to Miami Carnival? How was it?

I think I may go there this year, if any of you been there, let me know how it went down.

I'll be down there on the 10th through the 11th. First time for me. I'm staying in Lauderdale also. Saturday is Lauderdale and Sunday is the actual parade in Miami I believe.

Unfortunately, I'm taking sand to the beach. I'll take some pictures and report on that craziness of it all.

I just officially bought the ticket.

Quick question.Do you know if is mandatory to be wearing a custom? Do we have to buy a ticket or is it a street party thing?I went to the one in NY and it was just a street party thing, not sure if the one in Miami is similar. I won't have time to buy a custom because I will be there for a day.

There are tons of non-latin carribbean people in Miami/Broward. Few, if any places in the United States have more Haitians, Bahamians, Jamaicans, etc.
