I was reading an article about people immigrating to isreal, if they have Jewish roots, to get a passport .Seems Isreali passports are better in South America than US passports. Also the do not need a visa to go to Russia.

You should probably learn to spell Israel first.

You definitely wouldn't want to travel through the ME with an Israeli PP. Check out sovereignman.com...I know a Brazilian passport is a solid choice for those that don't have roots to use anywhere.

I have one and it gives me access to the entire FSU except for Belarus.

Having Jewish roots is not enough. One must physically migrate there (Aliyah) and live for 5 years to obtain a full passport.

Having Jewish roots enables you to live there, but citizenship is not instantaneous.

Also if you migrate before a certain age (i think 28) you may be forced to do some army service.

If I remember correctly, buying real estate in Brazil and "living" there for two years (you really only have to visit for a few weeks a year), plus fluency in Portuguese will get you well on your way to a Brazilian passport.

Israeli passports have advantages, but in general they suck. They prevent you from travelling to several countries. Even an Israeli stamp in a foreign passport restricts your travel.

Everyones replies are true. I just wanted to see what people thought. I still see some advantages . The main disadvantage is travel not allowed in the Middle East. However, I do not see this as such a large disadvantage to Israeli passport holders. Most immigrants would still have thier U.S. or EU passports and can use them to enter the Mid-East, and to be honest the Jews immigrating probably wouldn't want to go to those countries in anycase. Most of those countries aren't exactly prime hunting grounds for girls from Roosh forum members.
You qualify for full Israeli passport after 1 year of living there ; you get travel papers after 3 months. The only major advantage I see is travel to Russia. They can just enter and go off to any city they want without registration, visa, or invitation letter.
Brazil might be easy also. But not all of us are willing or able to invest capital overseas. I already own flat overseas and my dream is to sell it and keep my capital FDIC insured.

Don't do it. It's a paint bullseye on your back. That Sovereign Man comment is dead on. None of the countries that he can get you a passport in have enemies that will saw your head off on Al Jazeera.

Haha, yeah, Israeli, not Isreali. Anyway, I assume you'd get it in addition to a US passport, you don't need to give that up in order to get an Israeli one. Funny, cause many Israelis dream of getting a US passport.

Israeli passport can get you into some places cheaper than US passport, since we don't have those reciprocating visa charges with a lot of places that the US does, but all in all, unless you're planning on living here, it may not be worth your effort.

I don't see this as a disadvantage at all.

That being said, I wouldn't go through the hassle. Is it really that hard to travel on your Passport? Have heard the Paraguayan passport is the fastest/cheapest to get.

You might want to look into nearby Cypress as well. I'm not looking for more passports myself so don't know the full details, but I think owning property there opens up residency, and maybe citizenship and EU travel rights as well.

But on the question of an Israeli passport resulting in your head being being involuntarily removed from your torso. The kind of Muslim fanatics who saw off heads only barely make a distinction between the USA and Israel. So the odds of a sawed off head are not that much lower traveling on a US passport. But I'm sure that if you were simply in the interim honeymoon phase where they were simply threatening to saw your head off you're more likely to get help and intervention from an Israeli government than an American one. The way things seem now the American government is more likely to let then saw your head off and then later run adds in the local newspapers apologising that an American head blunted the saw.
