What You Need To Know

So, you walk into a restaurant and you wait 15 minutes for a table. You're starving. You sit down, stare at the menu and a kind voice says, “Hey, guys, what are you in the mood for tonight?”

You look up and your tongue hits the ground. The hottest waitress you've seen in a long time is staring directly at you and you don't know what to say. All your friends’ eyes are on you, because they see the stunned look on your face, and they all know you're hot for her.

You want to make a great first impression. You want to figure out how to crack the restaurant code. You want to be able to date this hot waitress, and you want to be the charming guy at the table. How do you make it happen? It's so easy it's ridiculous.

Create A Bond All About Her
For seven years in my 20s, I was a bartender/waiter in New York City. I had women hit on me all the time, but I only ever dated the ones who connected with me. See, life is all about connection. It's understanding where somebody else is, connecting to their world and immediately creating a bond that nobody else has.

The truth is that most guys will hit on her. They'll say something stupid. They'll call her over and say dumb things. They'll never talk to her. This is what I do: When I see a hot waitress and I'm caught off guard like you were just caught off guard, I look directly at her and go, “Ah, man, I have no idea what to eat. Let me ask you a question. If I was standing there and asked you what you'd like to eat right now, and you were sitting here with my buddies -- and believe me, they're really good guys -- what would you want to eat?”

And when she tells you what's good, just look at her and say, “Oh, man, why don't you just sit here right now? I'll take over your shift. Just let me know what's been 86ed in the kitchen.”

“86” is the term that restaurant people use to talk about what food item is no longer available. You're talking her language right there. Now she’ll probably laugh and say, “I think we're almost out of salmon.” Then you could say, “All right, fine. Let me go back to the kitchen, let me go grab those salmon orders right now.”
You bond with her immediately in that moment. She now understands. She now knows that you speak her language. She'll be curious whether or not you ever worked in a restaurant. Not only that, but you basically set up a good feeling between the two of you for the rest of the evening.

Now watch her work the tables, and I guarantee you there's always a table that's a big pain in the butt. So the next time she comes over, say, “Hey, look at table four over there. What's up with them? Do you need me to come over there and handle them for you?”

Or, “That guy over at table six, man. He's been hitting on you. You see the way he's been looking at you? He looks like he wants to eat you!”

That's what you want to do. You want to bond directly with her. When you bond directly with her, you have an opportunity to go and date the waitress. The key here is always relate to her world, the environment that she's in. And it’s a lot of fun.
Learn About Her Bit By Bit
I've dated a lot of waitresses and bartenders in my lifetime, and the key thing is to keep them talking, find out a little bit about them when they come over the third time. Say, “Hey, what else do you do? What do you do in your free time? What are your passions? You want to own a restaurant one day?”

Find out things about them. So, by the end of the night, if you speak to them enough, they keep coming over and they linger because they like you. The more they linger, the more they come to the table and talk with you. What you need to do at that moment is ask her out. Say, “Hey, look, I know the wild salmon is 86ed here, but I know this great place down the road where the salmon flows free. Why don't we go check it out one night?”

And that's how you seal the deal. That's how you close her. That's how you get her to feel 100% comfortable with everything that you are. They're fun to date, the waitresses, with their bubbly personalities and flexibility. But in order to go from average customer to lover, bond with her by connecting in a way that most other guys wouldn’t.

Never swooped a waitress. Closest I got was when I was at a tennis tournament in Boca, got her number on the bill, a confirmation text she'll come over to my hotel to hang by the pool. But she was a no-show. Interesting article though. Whats funny is I was just talking about this with a buddy from work who pulls waitresses and nurses like its his job. I've never pulled either. I told him I can only pull bartenders and strippers. Probably explains why I like blondes.

I never even try any more to bang waitresses and bartenders. The conversion rate is so low its not worth the effort to me. (I'm referring to picking them up at work, after hours at their drinking holes is a completely different story)

But I do game them. I get them to know me and like me and then use them as social proof for when I bring in girls to their place. Works great.

The best advice to bang a waitress is to be the chef

But for those of you who aren't chefs, I recommend you just be straight up about it. I've worked with plenty of girls who date customers. Servers tend to be slutty as hell anyway.

1) If she's busy, don't bother. Don't hit on the waitress on a Friday or Saturday night.

2) you'll have better chances at a fine dining restaurant. Not because she'll think you're a baller, but because she'll have more time to interact with you. Fine dining restaurants typically have a bigger floor staff that allows the servers more time to interact with customers. She'll have a food runner, a busser, a captain, and a floor manager to support her, and she'll probably only have a 3-table section. Contrast this to a server at a diner who's taking care of 6 tables, bussing her own tables, and running her own food. She won't have time for your clever pickup line.

3) Don't drop a pickup line. Just start casual conversation, be teasing. I've actually got a script I've run several times on hostessess and servers, goes something like this:

I'll walk into a place for happy hour or drinks and when I'm talking to either the hostess or server, I'll say:

"Hey, how's the food here? I'm kinda hungry"
Her: "Oh it's great! Our happy hour sliders are yummy and the mussels are good too"
Me: "Are you just saying that because you work here? *smirk*"
Her: "No no it's actually really good. I come here on my days off"
Me: "I bet you get a pretty sweet employee discount"
Her: "Yeah I do actually 30% off"
Me: "Perfect well now you can take me out next time I come here *smirk*"
Her: Laughing, responds with either, "Hahaha, actually I have a boyfriend..." or "Hahaha, okay sounds good"

...and get the number.

Something along those lines. Get some friendly banter, ask her if she's into food, what her favorite restaurants are, and ask her for a date quickly. She's on a time constraint and her manager won't be happy seeing her flirting TOO much with customers or giving out her number. Some flirtation is good as it increases her sales but there is a time limit on the interaction so push quickly.

I want to bang a waitress who works at a local restaurant/ bar. Been there a few times and just made some eye contact with okay results.

Would it be a mistake to bring a date there tonight for drinks to be seen by this waitress with a date? I doubt we'd get waited on by her as we'll sit at the bar...but the waitress will certainly see me and her. The last few times I've been there....it was just me and a drinking buddy at the bar.

To the OP/people asking questions:

Veloce's example script is decent, but I think you guys can take that and run with it, make it a much better interaction.

You have to have her flirting with you and you have to be able to tell the difference between her flirting with you and her doing her job. It is subtle and there is essentially no difference if you're fairly new to body language/game.

Their job is to make you feel welcome and be very helpful/smiling all the time. Realize that you can't be this way naturally all the time and that it's WORK for them to fake this. If you can make THEM feel welcome and make THEM laugh/have a good time, you've just turned their "work" into a pleasure. This stands out. You are showing your value.

It probably won't hurt you, but your focus must be what YOU want, not what you think she or your date might want. Go to have a good time. Game everyone.

I wonder why you didn't approach her when you were there just with your drinking buddy, though. Just some eye contact is no the way to do it, you gotta strike right away. Otherwise you're in the "customer" category. I have a hunch that you want to take the date there to try to incite jealousy/interest from the waitress. This is not really a great approach.

Yeah bartenders do tend to get the most play.

Funny to read stuff I posted 2 years ago. It still holds true.

Honestly, servers and hostesses are about 10 times more likely to hook up with her coworkers than a customer. Aneroids "Your number isn't on the bill" does work, I've done variations on that before.

Bringing dates into a venue that has a girl you like isn't the best approach, but I know a forum member who did exactly that and it worked for him. He's also what I'd call at an advanced level.

Screening is crucially important here, and distinguishing between her naturally flirtatious banter (her doing her job) and actually expressing interest. When you've interacted with enough waitresses, you should be able to tell, "Hey wait a minute, she's going a little 'outside the script'..." That's your cue to make a move and get the number.

I would not advise, its easier pickings just going out to the bar on sunday or monday nights to those venues that have 'service worker specials' You'll find these same chicks there, with a preselection for them being single, and off of their work mindset.

These are tough pickups in my opinion, as waitresses get hit on all the time,

That being said my cousin's current boyfriend was a just a customer at a restaurant and she was his waitress. They hit it off between orders and now dating for more than a year.

You have nothing to lose by going for the number, I remember my cousin telling me " I thought he was fucking hot and was praying for him to ask my number". In no way is this advice from a women, its just a minor tap into their psyche.

A buddy of mine used to slip a $5 tip (I would do none since that's better game) and write his phone number on the reciept. Fairly decent response rate, some were even nice enough to send the "I have a boyfriend" text if they weren't interested.
