Stuck here for a month or so..

West side of Chicago might work on Sat nights, but how about the rest of the week?

See if you can make it to schaumberg, they have a huge mall with lots of talent and some bars/nightlife.

Heard that town is a hole. Your best bet is to hightail it to Chicago. Maybe shoot down I-90 to Elgin and hop the Metra train into the city provided u have a crash pad arranged in Chi-Town. Hell, Elgin itself probably has more going on than Rockford lol. I think Elgin has a Euro club (Medusa's) and a riverboat casino type of joint.

Yes. Would highly recommend you get into Chicago instead.

Yeah, try to arrange your schedule to spend three nights/week in Chicago. Green Mill Tavern in Uptown is not to be missed for Brazilian girls!

Work early mornings 6 days a week so hitting the city on other than Sat nights isn't gonna happen unfortunately.

Sounds like I may be here for a couple months now so will probably get an apartment for this job and pull some trim online for during the week.

Elgin and the western burbs would be very doable for Sat nites. Thanks for the reminder of the casino.

I'll check the Chitown thread for some downtown intel if I ever get down there.

Being 43 I'm probably a bit outside the norm for college game.

Saying that, I do plan to hit Madtown again one of these days. As someone mentioned above, bars closer to the Capitol have a bit older crowd. I actually live about an hour away but am rarely home.
