Vegas on a budget
So I turn 21 at the end of this month, and I am flying down to Vegas from San Francisco/San Jose to kickstart my 'adult' life with a weekend of drunken debauchery.

I have seen a lot on here about the different bars and clubs over there. What i am looking for is:
a) A list of things I absolutely HAVE to do.
b) Any information regarding tickets, hotels, clubs, bars, strip clubs etc that are cheap.
c) The best places to slay some lizards that aren't over the top in terms of expensive drinks and stuff.

I'm hoping to wrap up the weekend in under $600 including flights, hotels and activities. About $50 - $100 of that is my gambling budget.

Any tips would be helpful.

This is completely unrealistic IMHO. I live here in Vegas. Entry into a club is going to be 50 bucks for you. Entry into a strip club is going to be 50 bucks. Drinks in a club are at least 12 bucks a piece. Even if you hang in the lounges you're paying that much. Go look up Laner's thread at the lounges he hung out at. This place is expensive, even with hookups and comps you're still going to pay.

Well 50 to 100 gambling is gonna go in like 10 mins. 15 tops if your on the slots. You can get a lot of things comped. When I was there we didn't pay a cover at a single club and went to moon, playboy, mix, ghost riders bar, and a few others. Buuut 600 is deff a major budget. Your gonna want to do some odd jobs/run some scams/sell drugs or something for some extra cash. At least
800. Oh and make sure you get the buffet at the winn. You'll never experience anything else like it.

RE: Vegas on a budget
There's a prior thread on this.....its doable but you have to know what you're doing and plan ahead.

I'm doing Vegas in a few weeks....Friday-Monday the weekend after thanksgiving weekend. I planned ahead.....booked a flight from LAX to Vegas for $117 RT after taxes on spirit airlines. concession" I have to bring less stuff with me. big deal. I've done it before I can manage.

Booking ahead, I was able to get 3 nights at the Imperial Palace for about $90...that's on a WEEKEND. Concession: the hotel is kind of ghetto and not a lot of bells and whistles. There are actually 3 of us going but the rooms were so cheap we EACH got our own room at IP....if we split the room, we'd be paying $10 a night to stay there.

I'm doing a "club crawl". looking on groupon...they had some deals for $39 or something...3 clubs, you already have a small group that you're with that you can work on or ditch. 2:1 drinks at the first venue, but I'll be drinking in my room beforehand.

I go to vegas alot, I've spent a lot...i've spent a little. had good times and bad times with both situations. Its really what you make of it.

Drink in your room or take your own cup "to go"
Go to 2nd and 3rd tier clubs, free lounges in the hotels, bar areas at restaurants and anywhere you can get in cheap or free
eat cheap
walk, don't cab. take the hotel shuttle from the airport instead of a cab. buy the round trip ticket.
plan ahead

There is nothing you absolutely HAVE to do except get drunk, hit on women and have a great time. You're 21 and live in California. in the next 10 years I'm sure you'll be back (truthfully, as far as guys go....Vegas is run by late 20/30 year olds).
