vegas is good, but VERY hot. Pool party season winding down.

Chicago is too hot. better other times of the year IMO. dunno, i've been in august and it kind of sucked at least when i was there.

San Diego is nice in August, most of the june gloom is gone. Its probably more kick back than you'd expect it to be.

I'd look to see where Surfing or Volleyball tournaments are in LA/OC/SD. Usually have lots of girls, parties on the beach, bars are crowded. I know in LA "6-man" is pretty much done, and the Smackfest volleyball tourney is ok but not nearly as much as the big time party as 6-man is.
