What is your preparation checklist?

Other than the obvious like easily accessible condoms in the nightstand, and cleaning the bathroom, what do you do to get your pad prepared for a lady visiting? We should work on a collaborative comprehensive list so everything is covered. Not only the logistics, but how to make your pad a place that's fun and inviting and makes her comfortable.

Screw the tv in bedroom for me. Ive found its much easier to start things on the couch (less overt) and move them to the bed if need be. Ive broken my bed recently, but its a peice of crap, so i try to avoid it all together. It still hangs together for sleeping, but anything more energetic and its game over. Nothing ruins the mood like breaking a bed let me tell you.

My checklist in brief:

I always leave some clothes and a few things out of place i can fix up in 30 seconds, and say something like i wasnt expecting anyone over, and quickly fix it up. Note my room is pretty much spotless other than this. Ive found it helps fight the player vibe. Girls dont expect a single guy to be totally neat, so i give it to them.

No shoes in my place. Not only does it keep it cleaner, but once the first peice of clothing comes off, it gets much easier.

Candles, or low watt lamps, and mood music. I got lucky with my place is that all the ceiling lighting runs on the same circut. Its not hard to rig it to remotely trip the breaker, so i have the perfect excuse, if i need it. Always have a backup plan.

Interesting music. I personally dont like mood music right away, i like interesting music, so for example, i have a lot of turkish strings, traditional korean music, down to super mario accepella. Mood music is just always in my playlist a few songs away from the start.

Extra toothbrush in packaging, tons of pillows and towels. Oversided clothes awesome for chicks sleeping in, but you can still get away with having without it seeming planned.

Uncommon alcohol. I personally keep a bottle of baileys (hard as hell to find in china) as well as some top shelf XOs as well as more common stuff. Know how to mix it yourself and make sure it tastes good.

I personally use my place to display my traveling, so i have photos of me in places all over the world, usally with hot girls in them as well.

Even if they just come over to kind of 'feel you out', having a girl at your place can easily be transitioned into at least a makeout and a bang if you play it right. I have a pre-game ritual that revolves around the following things.

- Condoms (check)

- Clean house, make sure your place smells good too. If the girl is especially attractive I sometimes bake cookies or something a few hours before they come over so my place smells nice, 'Yeah, I was baking some cookies for my little cousins' or something [My cousins are 21, 17 and 16] (check)

- Supplementing the clean house, you don't want to look like you spent 3 hours getting it together for your visitor; that's trying too hard. I always make sure the kitchen and the bathroom are clean, but I like to set it up like there's still a little bit of disorder. Sometimes I leave a shirt hanging over a chair or a belt / shoes on my bedroom floor, CDs and DVDs on the coffee table or maybe some documents or something that shows that while you like a clean place, you're a busy man (check)

- If you have something particularly interesting that could be a conversation piece, I like to have it prominently placed. For example, I have an antique crystal ball about the size of a basketball that I have placed on the coffee table beside my couch, and sometimes I even play 'fortune teller' and look into it to get the girl's future, 'The mists are clearing...you will meet a handsome, daring man very soon' and the like. Sounds stupid, but as you know, that type of thing is a money move (check)

- Food in the fridge in case you get hungry (nice DHV, check)

- Or, you can have the numbers of a good takeout / delivery spot on grip (check)

- Wine / Beer / Alcohol with mix (check)

- I myself like to have a jay or two rolled. Lots of girls love weed (check)

- Music; I've got a good little collection ranging from Indie stuff (such as the Shins, Death Cab and Stars...lots of girls love Stars), Motown-Stax (Curtis, Marvin, James Brown, The Temptations etc.,), Jazz (Coltrane, Miles, Mingus), Hip Hop (anything from East Coast to G-Funk to Kanye) and a wide variety of New and Classic Rock (check)

- Movies; essential. Lately I've been watching movies like Vicky Cristina Barcelona, American Beauty and Shaun of the Dead with girls. The key with having a girl watch a movie at your place is that the movie should not be overly long, have some form of romance with a bit of humor, excellent scenery or cinematography and a good soundtrack, chicks love aesthetically pleasing stuff like this in their movies (check)

- Lighting; Slightly dimmer or lower lit than usual. There's no need to get crazy with candles or stuff like that, but whenever I have a girl over I like to have my dimmer switch set to around 60-70% of the normal level. She'll be a lot less self-conscious about her (real or perceived) imperfections if the lights hide them (check)

And really other than that, just make sure your place is comfortable and you're on your game and you'll do fine.

I generally just clean up the place - make sure all the clothes are off the floor, take the trash out, get the dirty dishes out of the sink and make sure I got some wine on hand. Pretty simple really, but it's funny how my place only looks nice and straightened up on nights when I chick is coming over.

For you guys saying that you strategically leave a little bit of mess around, that's a great idea. I never thought about that.
