I like to drink vodka because as Roosh said, it decreases hangovers. I usually just drink it with ice or some soda. However I want to start using Truthmosis' first date bang recipe and incorporate the line that I just learned a cool new cocktail I want to show the girl back at my place.

So what are your favorites? Ideally it would not be too girly but still have enough flair to appeal to the hamster mind.

I like Kettle + Soda with a couple limes...occasionally I will add a splash of St. Germain to give it a subtle twist

Try adding honey to it + a whiff of bitters! Am thinking rosemary, but am having a hard time picturing it.

As to the OP, favorite Vodka cocktail...

There's also a Cairprioska, less acidic than a Caipirinha

This drink was designed by an award-winning 'tender i used to work with:

5,0 Basil Leaves
5,0 Zuberovka
3,0 Apple Sours
1,0 Cointreau
2,0 Lime Juice
2,0 Gomme

Muddle, shake with ice, strain into highball glass with crushed ice. garnish with basil leaf.

Not a big vodka drinker, but I enjoy it in bloody marys and fruit martinis, like apple and lemoncello. Another good way to have it is to throw it into a jar of cherries with lemoncello: 2 parts vodka/1 part lemoncello and let it marinate for about a week or so, then eat the cherries and drink the juice...great summer drink. Just make sure you use a jar that seals well.

G: I agree that vodka soda is the cleanest drink out there. But I am looking for something a little out of the ordinary so I can tell a girl that I just learned to make some new cocktail as prescribed in Truthmosis' first date bang recipe.

vodka, lemonade and lime is also great when you have run out of soda water. Also after visits to the Czech republic and Lithuania i've turned into straight vodka and ice drinker nothing like a decent vodka to liven up the soul.

Vodka? I prefer shots, with a soft drink to wash it down if needed. Should also be a decent brand. Polish vodkas for me are the best.
On a cocktail, ill go with Caipiroska (capirinha with vodka instead of cachaça) or vodka tonic (although a bit tasteless unless you add some mint leaves)

My drink of choice is Vodka Tonic with 2 limes and not those bullshit tinyass limes LA clubs love putting in your drink that are brown on the edges. I've been known to reach over the bar and grab a couple more.

Nothing like a Vodka Tonic with 2 limes, a sick suit on sitting at the Grand Havana Room while enjoying a cigar and all the looks your dime and you are getting from the old timers who have more money than they know what to do with but still can't pull a dime without spending a grip.

The $4 a bottle Russian stuff in a fancy bottle I get here is just as good as Stoli or whatever overpriced over advertised crap they're pushing in clubs. Usually drink it with grapefruit juice and a splash of Redbull. Too bad Russian girls don't drink vodka.

If you can find Tito's in the US, it's good too (made in Texas).

Svedka is my go to cheap vodka, and vodka and tonic is pretty much the only way I make it. White Russians made with equal parts vodka, Kahlua and half and half are good but very rich and sweet.

I know some people say clear liquors or tequila decreases hangover but I've had some of the worst hangover of my life from vodka and the thing I hate in the morning I have that vodka gasoline taste in my mouth. I still do enjoy vodka, unsure if i think the hangovers are less or not but fav vodka cocktails would be moscow mule, white russian, and lately been drinking these caramel apple sangrias which is a cup of caramel vodka, a bottle of whine and a few cups of apple cider, not bad for a chick drink, my girl likes it.

A simple vodka martini with a twist of lemon peel as garnish instead of the more common stuff (olives, etc.). It's not a good look in a sports bar, but it fits right in at classier places, especially if you're suited up.

Then again, I'm a whiskey man.
