2 years ago, I'm on the 6 train headed north bound. I'm suited down, prolly headed to meet a client or something. It was off peak, so I managed to snag a seat. Somewhere in the 20's, a relatively skinny hipster chick gets on the train, holding a mini-dog of some kind. Her skater boyfriend walks in behind her, and they take the seat across from me.

She then puts the little mutt into his lap and jumps on to her phone.

I looked him dead in his eye.
Did I see cluelessness?
Did I see joy?
Did I see despair?

He was a blank slate.

To keep myself sane, I assumed she was a bisexual freak, with a Williamsburgian penchant for non-ironic bj's and a helper gf that showed up for the Tuesday cock hop - otherwise that dude was fucked.
