I think board games are hugely underrated. I've played them a few times over the last year with friends and family and had a blast every time.

I could see inviting a girl to a game of scrabble or something similar at your apartment working. Original, a seemingly innocent excuse to come over, fun, and brings on a playful/competitive mood.

Monopoly is way too long. I haven't played board games in ages, but I think Clue would be a good option. And there's also Scrabble.
