This story is making the rounds in the gossip rags. I'm posting it because I've noticed the gossip papers are usually accurate because they have lots of good sources (as opposed to "real" writers who isolate themselves in SWPL-land).

Anyway, if Taylor Swift really did try to shame Harry Styles into getting circumcised, not only does that speak to her own controlling tendencies, but it also says something about American women in general, many of whom believe BS about uncircumcised men. As I've said before, the complaints from American woman about men not being accepting are projection.

We’ve already noticed that Taylor is a bit two-faced—goody two shoes in music, but a total player in real life! If these reports are true, the girl is not only obsessive; she’s a control freak! Of course, their argument completely disregards the “is circumcision cruel abuse” debate (Harry should have gone that path and ended the discussion!), but it does raise the question: is Taylor capable of a normal relationship, or will she always nit pick and destroy it from the inside out? And how on earth will she turn this penis snipping scandal into a hit song?"

This is ridiculous unless it's for religious reasons (and to be honest even then). And I seriously doubt Swift is either Jewish or Muslim.

Spare a thought for some ethnic groups for whom male circumcision is a right of passage into adulthood. The Xhosa people of South Africa for example have an initiation process that includes circumcision. Usually happens around 16-18 years old during mid-winter school holidays. The process involves living rough in the outdoors. For a few weeks I think.

Every year scores of young initiates either die, or suffer permanent injury/amputation from infections as a result of unhygienic cuts and the effects of the cold on recovery and healing abilities. In this culture if a boy doesn't go through this process he will remain a "inkenkwe" (a boy), rather than an "indoda" (a man). Just in case you think they have a choice consider: Likelihood of getting laid as an "inkwenkwe" = zero.

According to the New York Times in 2010, it's 32 percent, but I can't tell from their (poor) writing if that meant 32 percent of boys today or 32 percent cumulative. Link below.

Women don't know dick about dick. Last Friday, we had a little get together at a bar for my friend's birthday. I brought the chick I met at the Andrew W.K. show and had invited another girl who was friends with my friends.

I never understood why male circumcision is so prevalent in North America because it's really a religious thing as somebody mentioned above. Only Jews and Muslims do it for religious reasons. I was reading somewhere that most men in Europe are uncut but in North America most guys get circumcised. Thank god I am uncut.

I always found strange that in America (Canada also?) this was so common. I think it is because of old (mostly uncorrect) sanity reasons dating way back in the 20s or 30s, but I'm not sure about this.

Circumcision in North America was started by Dr. John Kellogg (yeah, the Corn Flakes guy). He said that boys should be circumcised so that they wouldn't masturbate. Once it gained traction there was no explanation necessary as generations of boys were circumcised. It's one of those things that's almost automatic. It's gotten to the point where being uncut is "weird" or "gross".

I see. So circumcision was just an attempt by a dumbass to stop boys from masturbating.

I don't know if it's a bigger deal in America to be uncut but here in Canada I really haven't had any problems with it. Girls have made comments like, O I didn't expect you to be uncircumcised, but it's never been a problem.

I'm un-cut. I was always super self conscious about it growing up. It took years of fucking girls and by the 5th or 6th one I realized, none of em give a shit, none of em even know what they're looking at.

Then in high school and college I started partying with a solid crew. The dudes were nuts and didn't give a shit about anything. We'd go to random parties, get drunk, make a scene, my friends would do shit like drop their pants on demand, girls went nuts for it. Throughout years of this shit I learned the hard way most of the guys I was partying with weren't cut either. Sounds pretty gay that we've all seen each others dicks, but I can say in my case I had a girl blow me in the front seat while two of my friends were in the back seat, and another girl I banged at a party with a circle of people around us, Boogie Nights style.

Anyway I started to come up with some theories, about the effect of circumcision has on guys. What does it do to a man's psyche that, fresh out of the womb and into this world, his dick is mutilated and thousands of sensitive nerve cells are taken from him?
