When I'm in a sunny mood I like to smile and look people in the eye as I walk past and greet those I make eye contact with. I've had chicks smile back at me but it never occurred to me to try turn it into an opener.

I can't help but smile a lot. A girlfriend I had for two years I met at a grocery store she worked at. I was smiling about something and she opened me with "you look happy".

I want to try it, but I got messed up teeth. (Crooked/Gaps).

It does make logical sense that it would work though. I heard the act of smiling floods your brain with endorphins/neurochemicals, so when you start talking you'll automatically be in a good mood.
