Yeah that's where I picked up the word, reading the descriptions of Jezebel articles on here. I think it suits the recurring attitude in feminist posts, I couldn't pinpoint a word to describe it before I heard 'snarky'.

Haha I'd never heard of the word either, until I started reading the forum and the posts about Jezebel. Its a good example of onomatopoeia, especially when you apply what American's call 'vocal fry'.
