I was downtown doing some work on my computer and ended up going to the bar with my backpack. Nearly every girl who walked up to order a drink opened me by asking or teasing about it. A couple even bought me a drink, though I don't know if that necessarily had anything to do with the backpack...I started to worry the bartender might think I was in there bumming drinks.

Just thought it was interesting and slightly comical. The downside is that some bars won't even let you in the door.

If I've been at a music festival and I see someone with a backpack, odds are near 100% they are selling drugs.

Maybe that had something to do with it.

As a lifelong backpacker I routinely take it with me to lounges. It keeps the back strait, chest out, you bump into folks and can hide Liqour and drugs in it. I've never had my backpack cockblock me or cost me a notch and it has saved my ass by having booze ready for a park, or rubbers stashed away for he bang. The Canadian company Hershel makes nice bags that look simply but are still functional so I wear that or a MEC.

It brings attention to me. I don't think he bag adds anything but the extra look a female gives just opens up a lot of opportunities to run some game.

I don't wear suits though - I wear Flannels, so it kind fits my vibe.

I'm going to a few festivals this summer and I'll be dusting off the old backpack as they're great to store goodies in.

There's the big Shamphla in BC.
Coachella in California.
Northern Lights in Alberta (that's an indoor one, but still backpack).
And of course hemp fest in Northern Ontario in August
