Mike Judge also created Beavis & Butt-head and Office Space, which are much more red-pill than King of the Hill, because it had to be suitable for a major TV network when Fox initially carried it.

Even though it's a comedy Office Space is a great commentary on how unnatural and mechanical most jobs are. The main characters spend almsot the whole movie trying to escape the cubicle lifestyle and the protagonist ditches his LTR early on in the movie because she's a typical American bitch and he doesn't want to put up with her shit anymore.

Beavis & Butthead was about a couple of dumbasses who intuitively realized they needed status and money to get laid, but they kept failing along the way. The show was also very subversive in the sense that the authority figures around them were just as inept, but even more dishonest.

Mike Judge definitely swallowed the red pill a long time ago.

Mad Men is blue pill, albeit a kind of passive aggressive, aware of red pill but rejecting of it kind of blue pill.

Don is punished for his alpha transgressions, i.e. extramarital conquests. As of this season, he's been tamed by his second wife, a French Canadian secretary. He'll presumably cheat again, but Matt Weiner has made clear that he doesn't repeat storylines. So this by itself clues us in that Don won't be the same alpha ladies man the rest of the series.

Roger Sterling has also been chastened in his alpha, caddish ways.

Meanwhile the show promotes the transition from 50's era conservative gender roles to late 60's women's liberation in Peggy taking on a masculine persona and breaking the glass ceiling at the ad agency and Joan smashing a vase on her husbands head, divorcing him because wants to serve his country in the military, and becoming a single mom.

I like the list and have something to add. Cotton Hill is usually pretty red pill. He's killed a ton of dudes (fitty men), is one of the biggest jerkasses on the show, and said that he slept with 273 women (mostly hookers but he still had a half Japanese son as a result of the war and fathered another son younger than Bobby with a bimbo).

I think the show is great before the ninth season. The first time I saw the Bucky character I got the impression that it was starting to go downhill.

King of the Hill is one of the most underrated shows on TV and puts Family Guy to shame. Family Guy is mostly a stream of stupid non-sequiturs. Occasionally there is a funny sketch or show that proves a lesson.

King of the Hill is often lost on non-SWPL types as it is not ironic or politically correct.

I enjoyed the first 5 seasons of Californication but the more I watch it, the more blue pill it is. The whole point of the show is that it is cool to be a player and sleep around with women, but there is always a soulmate (Karen) out there to put on a pedestal, pine over, worship, and ruin your life over. The pedestalization of Karen has made me sick to the point I have interest in the show. Karen is a decent gal, but Hank is a successful writer and badass so if he is really sick of fucking shallow LA chicks he should move somewhere else and find a Karen 2.0 that is 20 years younger.

It makes me sick now but I used to watch Californication with my ex and think she was my Karen, my soulmate, the one. Made the breakup very hard to get over. Conclusion: take player tips from Hank and some of the other alphas on the show but realize Californication is very blue pill.

I've always thought this show was shit. I just watched it a few times because when I was a kid it looked like a 'show that adults watch'. I still thought it was shit afterwards.

KOTH constantly tears down PCism and the smugness of SWPL behavior. Too many references to cite.

The other thing I've always admired about KOTH is that they present Hank as an authority figure who has his shit together and knows when to put his foot down. He has his flaws and blue pill tendencies, but is usually there to clean up his wife's or friends' messes. It's refreshing to see a show where the husband isn't an incompetent boob all the time(Peter Griffin a perfect example of this, btw).

Mike Judge and Trey Parker/Matt Stone are some of the few that get it in Hollywood.

Mad Men returns next week, just on the heads up. I'll indulge in some good old-fashioned Alpha-Beta dick-swinging, it's been too long...


Don: Does whatever the fuck he wants, drinks during the day, takes 5-hour lunches, routinely delivers on his job, gets sex at 'hello', knows what people want and how to tell them what they want. Alpha, puro.

Roger: Funny as hell, has power but is more of a figurehead than a decision-maker, has fucked up on the job a few times, gets crazy pussy but does have his lower moments. Strong Alpha.

Pete: Weasel, but willing to do what it takes to get the job done, including slimy shit. Worth noting that he's the only character on MM who doesn't smoke, stay-at-home wife is both cute and hot, rising up the ladder, gets side-pussy on the fairly-regular. Alpha with a small trace of Beta.

Ken: Unlike Pete, he's been stuck where he's at and lets his morals get in the way of his career, which is fine, but not in his line of work. His wife is not as hot as Pete's, though like Pete he married into money. About a 50-50 mix of Alpha and Beta.

Harry: Is a pussy. Lived in the office when his wife flipped on him, was afraid to ask for a raise, has done well but has also fucked up on the job a few times. Beta, through and through.


Joan: What we say we want when we think of feminine women. Sexy, resolute and knows how to get what she wants, though she's a little too-well traveled for my tastes and getting up there in both age and radius. Mini-LTR.

Peggy: Mousy plain-Jane who thinks because she has a bit of skills that she has the right to push Don around, had an abortion after fucking Pete at 'hello'. The direct ancestor of the career-chasing, player-fucking girl that the forum has collectively fucked thousands of. One-night stand followed by a trip to the clinic.

Betty: A materialistic, spoiled, whiny, judgmental shrew who's just-about intolerable on every front, it's like they took all the worst-traits of modern women and transplanted them back to the 1960's. One-night stand with an alias.

Megan: A perfect example of how women have no clue what they want in life, and how there is just no pleasing the lot of them. First she wanted to be in advertising, was actually good at it, but then got tired of it and wanted to resume her acting career. Still though, she's hot and feminine, but she does have some fight in her. Potential-LTR.


King of the Hill is an awesome show, my second favorite cartoon after South Park, but it has to grow on you; it doesn't have the timeless humor of, say, The Simpsons; you have to like and get the characters to enjoy the show.

I don't know that I'd consider Hank blue pill though; how many episodes center around him being pissed off or startled by how weird his son/society is these days?

how about the episode where Hank wants to find better steak-meat, so he joins the local co-op....lots of funny side-threads in that episode with the hippies, vegetarians, convincing the owners to make a profit (huh?!)....funny episode.

Cotton is definitely an 'I don't give a fuck, fuck you' out-of-control Alpha who if not for the army would have been in jail. My favorite episode of King of the Hill is either the one with Snoop (Hank is a pimp) or the one with Lucy Liu (Bobby makes Meth).

Also realized that I mentioned Peggy had an abortion, when she had the baby (I just watched 'The Wheel', the season one finale of Mad Men, featuring one of the greatest sequences of game ever captured on film [Don's pitch to Kodak]). Dammit, I'm getting dumber...

Mike Judge also made a show called the "Goode Family" which was basically a major flop, although I personally thought it was pretty funny. I would guess most guys on this forum wouldn't like it, it's kind of like King of the Hill, but instead it's about a super liberal PC vegan family, and the father figure is the most blue pill beta mangina character ever created. A big reason why I dig the show is because it makes fun of so much stuff that I can relate to, considering I live in an area that is probably the most liberal and hippy in all of the U.S.

Bobby is a great character in that he shows the effects of boys growing up in a femcentric society. He's not a bad kid in a lot of ways but is definitely influenced by his environment and not in a positive way. A great example is the episode where he has to take an elective and chooses to become a peer counselor rather than take shop class, as recommended by Hank.
