What tips do you have to rid yourselves of beta tendencies?

Here are a few quick ones:

Hit the gym hard

Train martial arts

Stop being supplicating and apologetic with women

Stand up straight with good posture

Make strong sustained eye contact with women and people you are talking to

Stop giving a fuck what other people think about you

Basically stop being self concious

Have the confidence to know that you are worthy, weather it be to get the girl, get the job, etc., believe in your self

Eat a healthy high protein diet, cut out processed foods, eat lot's of fruits, veggies, and EFA (avocado, almonds, fish oil)

Try to get a good restful nights sleep at least 5 nights a week.

Stop accepting bullshit from people, stop tolerating disrespect

Stand up for yourself and have a backbone if someone tries to disrespect you.

And pick up the book by Joe Navarro that Roosh reviewed, the one about body language. Helps a ton. Go through it and detail what you should be doing vs. what you are doing. Women decide to sleep with you on their first perception, and that is always dependent on body language.

a lot of guys who are new at doing pickup are often nervous and end their sentences in a higher pitch as if you were asking a question which makes you sound unsure of yourself. If you learn to talk with more authority as you would with someone your comfortable with you come across as much more confident

If you have ever taken a speech class or seen someone talk in public for the first time you will notice people who are very nervous and not comfortable talking to large groups of people often use uptalk and it becomes very obvious

I'll add some more:

Push yourself outside of your comfort zones, try new things, don't fear the unknown

Travel the world (see and experience a new culture, new continent, new foods, languages, women, landscapes)

Read good books on important topics, topics that will enrich your life

Value your word, be honest, and fair in your dealings with people, you can be cunning and smart, but don't be conniving

Treat others with respect, just because you are an alpha and your shit is together, doesn't mean you shit on those less well off

Always be true to yourself, don't change who you are for a woman, your parents, your social group, or peer pressure

Trust your instincts and don't second guess yourself!

I think he's referring to up speak, its something a lot of young people do these days, especially young women and its when people say a sentence and it sounds like they're asking a question, even though they're not, interrogatory statements are really annoying.

I will also add to stop misusing the word "like" so much, most of us are guilty of this from time to time, myself included, but if like every like third word like coming out of your mouth is like, then you like sound like an uneducated fucking moron.

I read what you wrote about making eye contact, OGnorCal707. I have always made eye contact with people I am talking too, but there are some peope who never let your eyes go either. And when this happens awkward moments appear. This guy who I am living with ( would not say he is alpha) never takes his eyes off when I am talking to him. I find it really annoying because it becomes unnatural. And now I find myself taking eye contact away from people to quick because I think of him. How do you deal with this?
