Dragon's Den star Duncan Bannatyne vows to give up women after expensive divorce and instead take up baking

THE 62-year-old has reached a financial deal with his second wife Joanne McCue, who he branded gold digger, and says he is happy on his own baking cakes and biscuits.

DUNCAN Bannatyne has sworn off women after an expensive divorce – and taken up BAKING instead.

The Dragons’ Den tycoon, 62, has reached a financial deal with second wife Joanne McCue, who he said was a “gold digger” on Twitter last year.

The dad of six, who made an estimated £430million, said: “I am free to live as a single man. I managed to save enough money to buy a little log cabin on Lake Windermere so I spend a lot of my time down there with my children and a boat.

“I am at the gym every day keeping fit. So life is pretty good. When I’m on my own, I have started baking cakes and biscuits and I’m cooking bolognese. Maybe I’ll bring out Bannatyne’s Bakery.”

Bannatyne, who told his 325,000 Twitter followers he was contemplating suicide during his marriage to Joanne, said he does not have time for a lady in his life.

He said: “I spend time in Manchester filming Dragons’ Den, at the Lakes, at home or I’ll travel down to London. This week I am flying over to South Africa. I don’t know how I could possibly date anybody.”

Duncan also has a tell-all autobiography due out in September. He said: “Money was the reason behind it, because I’m skint. Wait until you see it – there will be some big skeletons coming out of the closet!”

How the FUCK can that EVER be true?

Like how could a court award that in good conscience? There is something deeply wrong with a country where that could ever, ever be even considered as acceptable.

There are maids in Indonesia who work 7 days a week for $100 per month.

I'm living in an expensive UK city on around £1000 a month, and I'm shopping at fucking Waitrose.

How can anyone, ever in the world, NEED £1000 per day personally, my god.

Getting less than 1000 pounds a day would result in her being unable to dine on ... well, I don't really know what food could possibly cost that much and live in 5-star hotels.... ah fuck it, I don't know of any hotels that charge that much per night, so her living standards would suffer, resulting in her being stressed by the change, which is obviously emotional abuse.

I'm as outraged as you, of course. But I wouldn't be surprised to see some variation of this bullshit written in the court proceedings.

Well if Wikipedia can be believed it looks like he's not quite so successful anymore, they are listing him at 122 million pounds in debt.

I read his first autobiography.

I love business books, and am a fan of the show (although the show has being a bit shit for the past 5 seasons or so).

Interestingly - he was a beach bum selling beer from a van up until the age of about 35. He was living on the Isle of White at the time.

After hearing a friend discuss mortgages - and being laughed at after trying to join in the conversation - he decided to 'grow up', and start making money.

The rest is history.
