British Men Facing Crisis of Masculinity Says Leftist Diane Abbot
http://blogs.spectator.co.uk/isabel-hard...sculinity/ and http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2013/05/..._hp_ref=uk
TL/DR
Quote:Abbott will argue that ‘this generation no longer asks itself what it means to be a man’ and that instead boys are struggling with a ‘culture of hyper-masculinity’ that involves ‘a celebration of heartlessness, a lack of respect for women’s autonomy; and the normalisation of homophobia. I fear it’s often crude individualism dressed up as modern manhood’.
We used to know what being a man was, until politicians like her emasculated us at every turn for several decades.
Quote:Abbott's suggestions include men's health campaigns to tackle obesity, sexual problems, inactivity and alcoholism.
Imagine a white, straight male politician saying we need to address young women's obesity. Haha, furthermore, she's not exactly the slimmest herself is she!
Note, this lady has history. She's always complaining about white people and . Further note, she's a champagne socialist to the highest order. She campaigns on behalf of state schools, whist sending her own kids to a private one. Her excuse? Black mothers care more for their children than white mothers.
Anyway, the comments section in the Spectator article was amazing. Our ideas are certainly spreading. Even our terminology.

Truth is, most of the feminism stuff we talk about only exists online. I've never met a radical feminist in my real life. Sure, office life is emasculating and my office in particular is filled with vacuous women, but it's not hell or anything. Most real people don't give a fuck about feminism, but that doesn't mean they don't benefit/suffer due to it. Encouraged to be fat, cock carousel as empowerment etc.

Funny how she's concerned about the "normalisation of homophobia" (myself I'm more concerned about the normalisation of homosexuality), but then she brags up her West Indian roots when criticized about her choice to put her kid in a private school, "Miss Abbott also risked fury among her white colleagues in the Labour Party by saying they would 'never understand' the Afro-Caribbean culture of parents wanting to do the best for their children". The West Indies, especially the country of Jamaica, where her parents came from, is one of the most homophobic places in the world, its a major part of the culture there. Typical hypocrite politician.
God damned them all, I was told we'd cruise the seas for American gold, we'd fire no guns-shed no tears, now I'm a broken man on a Halifax pier, the last of Barrett's privateers!

Quote:Abbott stressed that she was not "here to talk about 'broken Britain'. I'm not here to do down single-parent families. I am a single mother. I'm not here to place blame on any families, or to try and suggest that one particular family might be in some way better than another.

RE: British Men Facing Crisis of Masculinity Says Leftist Diane Abbot
I think an important takeaway is the chasm between lower and upper classes. I go home to my poor friends from high school - I can freely riff with them about red-pill stuff. All red-pill women I know are from my poor hometown.
My more middle to upper middle class friends from undergrad - I have to be more careful. Last time we had a big get together, I was speaking about Pinker's "A Blank Slate" and female sexuality. One of my female friends commented it makes her uncomfortable when men talk about female sexuality without drawing on women's own experiences. I told 70+ million copies of 50 Shades of Grey have been sold - what else do I need to know? I just dropped the topic and went to drinking and joking around.
With the upper-class friends I made in law school - forget about it. Only hot women at this level could you ever talk about anything remotely red-pill. This is where I met the biggest hotbed of feminists, white-knights and manginas. Not so ironically, it is where I met the dumbest people I know. All manner of blank-slatist, communist and advocate of homosexual superiority. No shit, some gay dude, if you let him, would talk freely about how much better gay dudes are than everybody. Dude claimed Obama is gay, Clinton is
gay and even Lincoln was gay - "Only gay man would have the strength to overturn straight man's slavery."
LOL, whatever bro, but in any event, feminism is usually taken more seriously the more you climb the social ladder.
