Jack Donovan's New Piece on Work
Anybody read Jack Donovan's piece on work on his site?

Quote:Hours are just hours, and there’s nothing manly or unmanly about putting in more or less clock time at most modern jobs.

The average guy’s job is just something they haven’t figured out how to automate yet. Most of our jobs require almost no strength, courage, or mastery…so they sure as hell shouldn’t have anything to do with our honor.

Most jobs are post-industrial drudgery — we’re just doing the laundry, churning the butter, making the fucking donuts.

They require no prowess, risk or exploit.

There is no glory in working longer.

In a communist or fascist (in the most mechanized, bureaucratic and disappointing sense of the words) country, they’d dream up some nationalist narrative to make working longer seem patriotic and working less sound like treason.

In America, all they’ve got is “something, something, something…work ethic?”

There are legitimate reasons to pull a man card at work, and, as stressful and irritating as it can be, I wish we lived in the kind of world where men felt even more comfortable calling each other pussies when it was legitimately warranted.

Good red pill facts to remind oneself.

Quote:Repeat this mantra:
No company can ever love you.
Everything is a cost/benefit analysis.
If you are an employee and not an owner, you are just a number.

Too many people act like its the 50s and the paternal relationship between employer and employee still exists. I know most of us on here don't, but I guess that's to our advantage. While everyone else works 80hrs/wk to buy crap they dont need to impress people they don't like, we'll truly live our lives in the freest and most satisfying way possible.

Most of us are just glorified slaves. We sacrifice most of our pleasures and passions to satisfy our employer. Nothing could be more beta. We give up our freedom in exchange for an hourly wage.

When a man chooses to give up his freedom, I think he has been brainwashed.

I never want to work for another man.

I only want to work for myself.

Life is too short to live as a slave.

I have no problem working 80+ (ideally 100) hours per week and being nothing but a number, just a cog in the corporate, big oil wheel. As long as I can work seasonally and spend 5-7 months per year in a tropical paradise getting my dick sucked by girls ten years younger than me, I could care less if a company loves me or not!

God damned them all, I was told we'd cruise the seas for American gold, we'd fire no guns-shed no tears, now I'm a broken man on a Halifax pier, the last of Barrett's privateers!

Exactly, achieving financial freedom should be the most important thing to do for all the young and old men out there.

Our most important asset is our time, it is the greatest equalizer; you can't borrow it, you can't save it and you can't extend it.

giving up time for money is a hell of a bargain, working for a wage is modern day slavery.

The thing is it is hard to just say fuck the system, I am going my own way, i am not giving up days, months and years of my life to a corporation so I can get dollars.

But the thing is when you are really determined to find a way to not enslaved yourself for money and you really take your time to think about ways to have money working for you instead of the other way around;
your brain will come up with a whole lot of shit.

boredom is evil
