You approach a girl and she is not interested in you as a guy.
Obviously, if she doesn't see you as a potential, you shouldn't give a damn about her and move on.

But what about trying to be friends with her?
I hate to see when 'PUA' guys talking about how it is BETA to be just friends with a girl.
(If you are treating her like a GF, you are not hitting on other chicks because you want to be faithful to her, then you are a beta)

Anyways, if she is not interested in banging you, you can still use her (we all use each other in our society, it's called 'networking') to meet her friends, just to kill times, to learn about women's behavior, to use her as a social proof etc.

The thing is she wouldn't take it as 'I just want to be your friend' even if I emphasize we should this and this (common interest) together as 'friends'

Is it because I am conveying my sexual interest in her without realizing?

You initially hit on her but you realize she either has a bf or she is not interested in you. So you want to be friends with her for future leads. (eg:you are car sales man. she doesn't need a car but she might have a friend who need one)

I agree with the posters above. No female "friends." It is counterproductive and serves no purpose.

Keep her on the fringe of your social circle, get introduced to her friends, use her as a pivot, but don't try and be her "friend." Friendship is a male concept that is built upon honor, trust and loyalty. The female mind cannot comprehend such things.

You should be friends with anyone whose friendship you find valuable and fulfilling. Girl, guy, antelope....doesn't matter. Friends will take care of you when you're down, advise you when you're confused, and contribute to your life in a myriad of other ways. Girls are great for that.

Just don't settle for friendship when you know it will not satisfy your desire for the other person.

Hahaha. When the girl talks you up to other girls and helps you get laid, hooks you up with drinks, etc... you're hardly her orbiter. Rare is it the case that there aren't exceptions to a rule.

Generally a pretty accurate rule but it's not ironclad.

I like the description of female friends really being more like associates than true friends. It's very rare for a guy and a girl to be friends without one person being interested in the other.

Who has time for female friends?

I tell this to EVERY girl I meet at some point in the interaction, whether I haven't fucked her or I have:

I think there's huge value in your approach especially for someone who is in college. Especially so in your situation where you're constantly going to be surrounded by lots of women that want something from you being that you're a promoter. In that situation female friends are literally worthless to you because they're using you for access and you're just using them to fill the club and entertain your clients. I'd say male friends are almost as worthless to you in that situation too as they either are clients or aren't.

In a more average situation, having a friend or two who is female that is actually a friend (provides you value) can be a positive in your life.

As an example, my neighbor friend Elle and I coordinate to throw parties, borrow stuff back and forth, and setup fun travel plans. She also is a damn decent wing woman (she is friends with my FWB and doesn't say shit, she'll talk me up to girls even lie and say I'm her brother, etc...). As another example, I have a few female volleyball playing friends that I can rely on to do stuff for me and I'll do stuff for them when I can. This allows me to have attractive girls to invite to my parties to keep ratios favorable as well as easy access to coed volleyball games.

If you're interested in a girl to fuck or nothing, definitely approach from that angle, but if you're not attracted to the girl but she's otherwise really cool don't write her off as she could have value to you. It's more rare than with guys, that's for sure, but it's not a lost cause.

^^^ Excellent point I learned in the Asian/Korean heavily influenced Hawaiian islands it is the natural state of women to serve men and the natural state of men to lead women - Yin and Yang in balanced harmony - anything else is by definition UNNATURAL.

Good luck networking with hot babes who don't want to fuck you. I second Rocha, if you want to fuck her and she doesn't (regardless of whether you've banged her before or not), you aren't networking. Chics rarely give you anything if they aren't interested (feel free to test...you'll find out the hard way).

Interesting volleyball was brought up...

I play coed volleyball throughout the year. To me, the only thing a girl would be potentially useful for, as a friend, is volleyball. It's nice having good volleyball playing hot chics on your team.

Even then, who cares if you can't fuck them. Hot chics don't look across the court and think, wow, that guy has some babes on his team, I'm going to ask him if I can suck his cock later.
