I am going to be in Viña del Mar y Valparaiso for around 10 days in July. Anyone in the forum have been there? Any advise on places to go and meet girls would be appreciated.

Are you staying at a hotel/hostel/apt? Spend most of your time in Viña. Check out the beach and the Starbucks a couple blocks in. That's a good day game spot. There's also a nice mall around there. The big casino is worth a check as well. All of that is in the same vicinity. Personally not a fan of Chilean girls but Viña is nice. Very developed. Probably the most advanced place I've seen in South America. Comparable to the nice areas of Socal.

Valpo is a city with a lot of character (looks almost exactly like SF) but I didn't see much in the way of chicas.

In Viña del Mar there is this place called "Café Journal" in the corner of Agua Santa and Alvarez. Really cool place, good beer and Chorrillanas (french fries with beef and eggs, really good).

During January there´s a lot of Argentineans, especially from Mendoza where i live, but during winter i don´t know if there´s much tourism.

I was there 3 yearas ago and Viña definitely seems to have some potential... Valparaiso is an interesting place to visit but it looks a bit like one of those Rio de Janeira "favelas"... Anyway, I did not test any of those places during the night, since I was staying in the capital Santiago (this city has potential, tested and confirmed.

Great! Thank you for the advice. I will stay I think in an apartment near a beach called Reñaca. I suspect not much beach activity during winter. I will check out the spots you mentioned.

I will let you know more details of what I find out over there....regards to all.

Reñaca is the beach where all the Mendocinas goes in the summer, its really close to Viña.

You can take a bus in the street next to the coast line that leaves you one block from the Café Journal.

I recently spent a night in Valparaiso, Chile. I took a bus from Santiago (from the bus station at the U. de Santiago metro stop), which cost me about $7. The ride was about an hour and a half.

I stayed in a hostel up in the hills that I found off of booking.com for $18 a night. The place was called Ottavia Hostelling. The location was fine, although the water wasn't that hot.

Valpo, as it's known, is a very charming city. It is full of dirty hippy types, and most of the tourists skew older. There are a bunch of cheap seafood restaurants near the port where you can find a bunch of drunks hanging around. The chupe de mariscos I had at one such establishment was excellent and cost me $10. The restaurants in the hills cater to tourists and are more expensive.

After dinner, I wandered around between the Bellavista and Puerto stops, in search of nightlife. Two girls asked me for directions to Bar Arena. I explained my situation, and they assured me that this was the best bar in the area. So we went there together, and they got me in for free (the girls weren't attractive, so I ditched them). The place was enormous. It had four different floors (a dance floor, a bar, a basement, and a smoking section on top) that at peak time (around 1:30) were all packed. I didn't see many other gringos in the place, either. As to expected in Chile, the level of English at the club was low. Of the girls I spoke to, only about 1/3 could speak conversational English. Compared to Santiago, this was low.

My night was solid work, all the way through. At two points in the night, I left good-looking girls that I made out with because they weren't leaving with me that night (and I was only staying one night).

When the club closed at 5, I was feeling a little down after all that with nothing to show for it. But there were still many people out on the streets, so I refocused myself. When I saw a girl in a goofy beret, who was sitting alone on the stairs and playing with her cell phone, I went over to her and said hello. We talked for a little, and I sat down next to her soon after. She told me she was waiting for the buses to start running so she could go home. I told that I was staying in the hills and asked her to accompany me to my hostel, so I wouldn't get lost. She agreed.

Walking up the hills, we started apart, but I slowly moved closer. First, helping her on stairs, then putting my arm around her, finally drawing her in to kiss. The empty streets did half the work. By the time we reached my room, she was good to go. She had a tight pussy with a bush that hadn't seen a razor in months, if ever. That's the downside of the bohemian porteña girl.
