What to the SEO gurus think of Google Analytics as opposed to other analytic systems for measuring Net traffic? I'm using Google Analytics, but Wordpress has it's own system. When I run them both at the same time, I tend to widely divergent results. Google shows a lot less traffic, but Wordpress seems to be a little bit better at showing the source of the traffic. Which is better?

I dont know about the Wordpress system, but Google Analytics rules, just like google rules the world.

But then again, keep in mind that Google gives you the information they want you to have, so id say use both and then your own experience and common sense.

for the money, GA is about the best option. Even the expensive options suck in comparison. Wordpress tools are ok, but very limited.

Apples to oranges. There are reasons to use multiple analytic platforms. I do, and the results never match.

Google Analytics is worth mastering. Even if your business flops you could make decent money solely managing another companies account, its that complicated.

I use GA. Works fine. I just need to learn a good system for getting a 1 page sales letter style site #1 in google. Anyone know about this? I've a few sites that are low competition that are #1 with nothing more done than on page SEO, exact match domain. Other sites I've done that plus got back links for but they are still sitting on rank 40 google 1 year later. Advice?
