Optimal Body Proportions
So I hear a lot about guys talking about optimal proportions for their body types etc. Does anyone have a link to an article that goes more in depth on the subject? I really want to figure out what mine is and then especially how to get there. I did a search and all I could find was a thread where people were arguing about the validity of a survey done on the internet about what girls like.

I read somewhere that looking 'jacked' aesthetically is about shoulders, back and abs (not chest and biceps like most people asking this question would think).

If you're not going for the bodybuilder look, I think in general you just want to make sure your chest sticks out over your stomach have SOME definition in your arms maybe work on your abs and if your working your upperbody DON'T skip leg day.

Any tips on a workout regiment or program to get there? I'm not going for straight up bodybuilder, I'm 6'4'' so that would take a very very long time. I'm just looking to be proportional and the best I can achieve basically.

RE: Optimal Body Proportions
Optimal proportions? Let's see:

Biggest torso size possible on top of the smallest waist size possible (a non-obese couch potato has about 6in difference in those two circumferences, a fit man has more than 12in and has to wear different size jacket and pants, a model/bodybuilder has more than 20. These figures are for all heights.). Do not fret if it's unnatural, one needs to invest decades to get to the unnatural point.

same circumference of calves, upper arms and neck. Again, a non obese ccouch potato will have 10-12 in, 14in are already "guns" and noticed as signs of fitness, a fit man should aim for about 16 in, those will look great. Models and bodybuilders clock in at 18in+ and those are monster sizes.

No standard on thighs, shoulders and forearms. Go by the looks of them.

I'd say aim for waist size <32, large v shaped upper back that spreads onto structured shoulders, and thighs that are large enough to give the impression it can comfortably hold the upper body weight and produce lots of force.

Arms, chest, defined abs, calves in my opinion are second to the above.
