Porto vs Lisbon
I hear the women in the North of Portugal are fairer skinned and possibly, prettier than their sisters in the south (Lisbon).

Anyone have any experience living up in Porto, Portugal? Cost of living, ethnic make-up, male-female ratio in general, and qualify of life? I know it's colder up there but the "2nd city" thing would imply that they're also a bit friendlier perhaps?

I'd visit Lisboa, Porto and Coimbra.

If you´re taste is more light skinned, chicks from the north probably suits you best. Personally I enjoy them more´than their southern sisters.

Keep in mind that portuguese society is extremely rigid and classist.

Porto girls (Braga I don't know) are less snob than the ones from Lisbon, are surely friendlier and more open to start a conversation with strangers. This does not mean, however, that they will be eager to have sex with those strangersSmile But I agree, chances that you have fun may be somewhat increased in Porto.

In relation to beauty, to be honest I cannot distinguish very well... It's not such a big country, I would say they look pretty much the same as the Lisbon girls: you'll see stunning women there, but on average they are not that great.

For what it's worth, when I was in Porto a couple years ago some local guys were talking about how girls from Braga are considered the easiest in the country. Lots of sluts up there, they were saying. I have no experience to back that up, just relaying what I heard. I did not have any success in Porto, but was only there 2 nights. However, the women seemed friendly enough and there were plenty of attractive ones around. Not knockouts, but attractive. I have not been to Lisbon, so cannot compare.

Yes, girls from Braga have that fame (a few years ago the divorce rate skyrocketed, but that was due to the influx of prostitutes from brasil). Also the university over there (universidade do minho) has some of the prettiest girls I've EVER seen.

Women in the north are generally more open and friendlier than in lisbon/south.

And, like some said in other thread. Chicks from the south tend to have more moorish/arab genes than the ones from the north, therefore in the South are darker.

If you're for visiting Lisbon, Porto and Coimbra. To try your luck with some portuguese loving, I would stick to the north. Porto, Aveiro, Coimbra, Braga
