After two turbulent years of unemployment and sheltering in the house of my parents, often my outlet for game, was in the form of solo trips to (mainly) Eastern Europe. Due to the solo nature of these trips, I would usually be in control and command of my actions, nightlife choices, game etc.

I moved to Madrid last week to start a masters programme, re-entering the status-hood of 'the student'. I noticed how keen the students were in arranging social events (whatsap, facebook, twitter), diligently updating their facebooks with the 'event of the day' and what not. Ever willing to insert myself in new situations, I obliged and went out with these lot.

It was then when I realised how deeply ingrained game is within my bones, how accustomed I have become to it, how it has seamlessly become a part of me. I am 100% sold on game, I am convinced by it and strongly reject the alternatives, for example:

-going out to get smashed, hoping to get lucky
-going out because i have a crush on a girl and want to chat with her all night
-going out as a result of fearing to be home alone on a weekend
- going out to dance with my (non-sexual) friends

and many others

I felt like an alien and found myself feeling very bored. It goes down like this: students arrange on facebook where to meet up, they meet up, drink and just chat and chat, and not the interesting kind of conversations one has in cafes (discussing Marcus Aurelius' Meditations for example), no the airhead meaningless kind of chatter. The guys have no motive for bedding any women (or if they do, it is kept well hidden). At one point I was asking guys 'what do you like to do for fun when you go out?' in attempt to seek a Greek among Romans, an alpha, an enlightened fellow, a wing, but unfortunately nada, nothing, drinking and more drinking seems to be the main appeal to the folks.

I find difficulty in comprehending the reasons for this, to me going out to talk to girls, making them laugh, having fun with them, getting intimate with them, winging amigos etc is the peak. Don;t get me wrong, getting together with the hommies to watch a football match or going out to celebrate (game is still on the table though) an event is cool by me, however possessing a complete ignorance to game is just pure boring, it is in fact, and more accurately, beta.

This has made me appreciate game more than ever, to appreciate having like-minded friends, to appreciate having wings.

The gains are incredible, the thrill is enriching, so why are we a minority in this world?
