I'm dating this girl who works night shifts. First date was for coffee. Now she works almost every night (actually all she does is sleep in a facility with an alarm next to her that mostly never goes off). However she is there 7 nights a week. She starts at 6 pm and is there for 12 hours.

What's your advice on getting a 'drink date' set up with her? Or what other type of date may work during the day for escalation?

Drink dates with night shifters are problematic. Either she's drinking before her shift (bad), or you are yours. Really hard to take her to a bar at 6am when her shift ends unless you live in Las Vegas.

Brunch with mimosas (orange juice and champagne) on your weekends/holidays are your best bet. Make sure it's a place that serves omelets --syrupy sugary waffles and pancakes as she's ending her day are bad, omelet with protean and vegetables are good.

Two kinds in my experience.

1) The good kind. She is excited to be not at work and to spend time with you. She is willing to flex when she wakes/sleeps by a few hours to meet you before she begins her shift/after she ends her shift. May even be sweet.
2) Entitled. She won't change a damn thing in her life set by her fucked up schedule and then wonders why cloistered nuns see more available men than she does. She is missing whole levels of normal social interaction. It feels like you're communicating down a hole. Little feedback. Few responses. Turn off your phone when you sleep or you'll be waking up to her texts all night.

My experience is night shift == fast weight gain. It's like they're in perpetual winter. They also sit at desks without exercise too long.

And be aware that every text you receive is going to be a group authorship result. You're the only interesting thing for her work unit to pick apart at 2am.

Go bring her a drink at her job. She's bored. I used to work a night shift; all of us drank and banged people on shift.

Thanks guys! Arranged a brunch date though the options are limited here in terms of booze. ;( Can't see a way to go there at night but I'll explore it soon

Crazy I am fighting his as we speak. Home health care provider. Breakfast on Saturday. Also got a nurse who works 14 hour days.

Once you give them the good dick they will make time for you. It's just getting it in the first time. Sticak around till you get that window the push hard for the lay. All it takes is one bang.

Personally, I avoid them.
Chick with a non-regular schedule means a lot more sustained extra effort and planning. As opposed to being opportunistic at nights, or Lackadaisical with the iphone and okcupid.

As for the actual bedding of a chick, she doesn't have a natural window of fuckability.

Most chicks have natural windows - at night, alcohol is imbibed, weekends off. Sex happens in beds, beds are for sleeping, thus any move you can make to get a chick to get in bed to go to sleep, means you can fuck her. Essentially... You can fuck a chick at an amusement park at 3pm, but if you have that level of game, you don't write this post.

The situation

- forget drinking, she typically won't. So you're going to have to hit her with heavy sober game.
- no dancing, so kino will have to be purposeful not inadvertent
- morning - she's sleeping
- daytime - you're at work
- afternoon- you're getting to work

So what you're going to have to do is
- get her phone #
- establish rapport
- develop interest and attraction via text, net and phone
- arrange a meet

So this means you have maybe 1 window of opportunity
- Saturday or Sunday Brunch

The whole week you're gonna spend trying to build up the meet.
Meet for a boozy brunch
full of food and liquor, she's gonna be tired.
Take her to bed, wake up and bang, send her off to work.

Post bang, you're a known quantity, but the natural rhythm of her life doesn't allow her to make hasty decisions.

No alcohol involved at all.

Good job! An added benefit is that due to her odd schedule, you can probably keep her around as a long-term FB, since she won't have a chance to meet many others anyway. Logistics are in your favor.

Well done! There's a cute girl who works at a hot dog stall nearby my place . I went there twice and number closed when there were no customers around. She works from 7pm to 3pm everyday. It's hard to even try to build rapport through text or phone. I will use your strategy and see if that works for me.

Hehe and I also realized I can have two dates/ bangs a day now - her for lunch time and another girl for the evening date. That's fantastic I'll add hitting on night shift girls to my standard repertoire from now on
