I'm curious to see how many men were already banging hoes before they discovered this movement. I discovered Roosh and everyone because I needed a way to consistently bang higher quality talent without becoming rich and I wanted to minimize length of cold streaks I was having and length and time between new notches. I also wanted to gain more confidence in cold approaching, something which I hardly ever did and underestimated the importance of.

Because my best friends were either much older then me and couldn't mess with the same women, were finally starting their careers and families while I was a simple college kid, or just were serial monogamists or simply lacked much game, I was primarily gaming alone even though I did go out with friends. I also wanted to meet some like-minded people and felt forum posts and blog posts were saying things I had always felt but didn't know how to explain. This is the best part in my opinion.

I became successful after I *stopped* doing "game" (i.e. routines, gambits, mystery method type shit) and started interacting with women directly, authentically and with strong sexual intent. THEN I slowly started adding various technical elements back in and experimenting more.

But all of these techniques rest on a solid foundation now. Which is why two completely different styles of game can work equally well for two different guys. They both have their inner stuff handled.

Also, I saw an uptick in poosy when I started to really do what I wanted with my life at all times. I think that's the real road to self esteem. Most people live for their parents, teachers, societies, and others' expectations of them. When you live selfishly - an innocent selfishness - you start to come alive.

It's also where a rock solid frame comes from. If you just ask yourself "what do I want?" and act on the honest answer that comes up, you'll never cede your power to a woman or go along with some idiotic dinner date or do anything that you really want to do.

This radiates. Women feel it and it tells them you're a real man and not a puppet.

I was not successful pre game. I really only hooked up with with girls that would throw themselves at me and so had no game for going after girls. Once I actually started actively gaming it was a whole new world of increased quality and a dial-and-smash harem of lower quality girls for when I didn't want to do any work.

Nope, I sucked. For the entire year of 2012 I banged just 1 girl. (My ex-girlfriend from England). I never used to approach women, I was too scared and an absolute Beta. The most I would do was grab girls on the dancefloor at 3am when I was completely drunk. It got me only a handful of bangs throughout my three years at university. I sucked.

I moved to Korea in August 2012 and lived there for seven months. I managed to get just one bang (in February this year). I still sucked.

As the OP of this thread, I'm also curious how many notches a lot of you more successful posters had gotten before you discovered game? At 23 (discovered it this year), I had about 30. Started early. Game has given me about an additional 15 since I discovered it 5-6 months ago. Definitely the most pussy I've gotten in the shortest amount of time.

I was hopeless in high school. I wasn't really socially stunted by any means but my schedule and logistics of pulling off even basic hookups was impossible. Makeouts and heavy petting happened at summer camps of various sorts. Between intense work for AP classes mixed with year-round sports, my entire childhood from 8-16 was basically engineered to get me into a top 5 university.

Once I got into college I immediately started hooking up with chicks. I was hopelessly arrogant to the point of being outright obnoxious to chicks but had enough social circle and dance game to get lays. I mellowed out by sophomore year and joined a party fraternity so the stream of lays kept coming in. I also studied abroad twice in Asia and those periods of time were superb as well.

Once I got into a masters program I was suddenly living on my own outside of the college atmosphere. That was a nasty shock and I realized that I had to scrap and figure out a way to make it all work. This is when I joined RVF and also started hitting daygame hard. I had a very simple direct daygame stack that I stole from Entropy that worked fairly well for me. Still didn't come close to my college years.

Then I went abroad again for graduate studies through Europe and Asia and had an international hookup fest part deux.

Then after graduation from that intense program I went to Bangkok and was generally mobile around Asia for 2 years, collecting flags along the way.

The moral of the story is that if you are rock solid in your identity and have your shit together then everything else falls in place. This applies even if you are overweight; I went through two phases where I got pretty fat but was still pulling because I had social circle, dance, and other things going for me.

I wouldn't call myself a born natural but I've never had a problem being outgoing and socially apt.

Learning game has helped me mostly in the area of logistics and coordinated escalation.

Things such as:

1. Comfort

2. Physical Escalation stacks

3. Dealing with cockblocks (actually I'm still pretty bad at this)

4. Getting over the fear of doing direct daygame - this skill has helped me in sales and business

I struggled a lot with feeling comfortable in my own skin through high school and college being a black guy that wasn't into a lot of stereotypical black guy stuff, so that held me back. Luckily, I joined the right up and coming fraternity in college which gave me good social proof and I was able to get about 15 bangs in my last couple of years of school. I've always been somewhat aloof with women but didn't actively search out "game" until about four years after college. I believe I had ok game and had a general grasp of game mostly what the common guy knows (which is mostly beta now looking back). You can put me in the 'serial monogamists or simply lacked much game' category I guess. I bounced around from girlfriend to girlfriend dating intermittedly. I still had a ton of drunked bar hookups, but the minute I found someone that 'stood out' I chased them and tried to get in a relationship almost immediately. So I think that I never developed enough game due to the fact that I just bounced from one girl to another while trying to find the 'one.'

I sucked until joining the military. It gave me a huge confidence boost and got in shape. Still, girls would throw themselves at me and I'd still manage to fuck it up. 18-20 was a learning phase, and moving to California required a big step up. There I learned from a natural and things really started coming together. At 22 I returned home and slayed the pussy.

The amount of travel I did while serving was a big factor too. Now I'm a fucking machine. I get drunk and go on autopilot.
