Dalrock has recently written an excellent article on the topic, elaborating why this has to be viewed as the best-case scenario of game application - that she actually enjoys making those sandwiches and joking around it with her guy, rather than (as some feminist commenters think) doing it out of fear and blackmail to get her engagement ring.
