I just ended my latest 'tour of duty' starting in Europe and moved around various parts of SEAsia. I don't enjoy sitting in the back so on the recommendation of a work colleague I managed to plan my whole itinerary using flyer miles.

I have discovered this is a slick way into the front cabins, but you may have to allow just a little date flexibility in order to get the seats which you want. It's going to be most useful to solo travellers as airlines tend to only give out one or two of these heavily discounted seats. For me I would never normally consider paying for full money tickets, but this way makes it affordable. The worst part of it is I don;t ever want to find myself sitting in the rear cabin again!

Anyway, I hope this might be helpful to those who want to get more value out of their travel budget.
