So I'm stuck in the NW 'burbs of Chicago (Buffalo Grove) for the next 5 months. Looking for bars and other nighttime spots to take dates to and to go to alone.

Trying to avoid awkward clusters of old people like suburban bars often are.

Anybody know the area and care to offer some suggestions?

I'm out in the West burbs of Chi Town, couple spots I frequent that have a cool vibe are the Tilted Kilt (kinda like an upscale Hooter's) mellow vibe, huge bar and wide screens everywhere with sports as a backdrop.

Another place I take prospects is Brunswick Zone (closest one to you in Mt. Prospect). Bowling alley spot with pool tables tucked in the back area away from the loud ass teens and old foogey bowlers. This place serve drinks too... They usually supply 8 tables, pretty spacious and a nice hip-hop/rock selection of the jukebox. Obviously, pool is the ultimate Player's game. Gives you a spot to flirt, persuade and game while checking out her silohoutte.

Especially nice when you have a novice on your hands, your opportunity to "teach". Hope this helps playboy

I'd just drive 30-40 minutes into downtown chi-town to do some work on the hunnies.

That's what I do when I have class in the city. But I'll meet a girl out here running my day errands and get her number. I don't wanna text her to meet up and then drive us to the city and back.

closer to home = less chance of flake + less driving around

They actually just built a Brunswick Zone 3 minutes from my house in BG. It replaced an Eskape, which I always saw as childish and lame, so I'd never considered it. Maybe I'll check it out.

You're pretty much screwed. Wheeling has some nice restaurants though, and restaurants have bars. Might even meet a horny cougar there if you roll solo and dress nicely!

Cafe Mistiko on Milwaukee Ave, Deerfield. It's very close to Buffalo Grove. It's a cool bar/pool hall/restaurant with hot waitresses and a sexy Euro crowd. You will like this place.

Oh yea, forgot about this one. I'm serious when I tell you it's ALL Russians. You'll definitely have to work a little harder to penetrate the social circles but it could pay off. A ton of them live in Inverary and they all congregate there.
