My Christmas miracle has arrived!!! I just experienced much joy and mirth as I read Lindy West's personal account of being too fat to fit in an airplane seat.

And guess what Lindy, it's only going to get worse. Isn't she relatively young? No doubt she has a daily calorie surplus - she consumes more calories than she burns. Say she's gaining on average 0.03 lbs a day. Not much on a day-to-day basis. But that's 10 lbs a year. In 10 years, that's 100 lbs. Imagine Lindy with another 100 pounds added to what she already has??

So she now can't fit in a seat and is all:



Wait until she can't fit through the door.
