Does anyone have any intel or data sheets on Nantucket, Massachusetts?

I was toying with the idea of living and working on the island for the summer season. May-Oct.

From what I've heard and the few things I've read it seems like it could be pretty slim pickings for jobs and places to stay. Fortunately for me I am a professional bartender, so that's a plus. But even with that I'm sure the conpetition is tough.

I'm desperately bumping this thread.

I have secured a job on the island but due to extremely hard to find housing I am asking RVF if anyone has any contacts of any sort for seasonal housing on the island.

Would be mid April - mid December

I don't have any contacts but try the couch surfers in the area. I've browsed them before (was considering visiting Nantucket) and some of them seemed open to having people stay for extended periods.

The season ends in October, it's going to be a ghost town in November + December!

There's a hostel on the island in which you could stay for a couple weeks in April while getting housing set up. Generally it's always easier to find housing in seasonal places like this when you're actually in town and meeting people, and asking around. You'll definitely find something if you look.
