Going to marbella in June there's not much info on it here, was wondering if anyone knows much about the place? I hear a lot of central Europeans and scandos go there, any ideas where they be hanging out if its true!? Cheers....!

I've been to Marbella a couple of times, the busiest area in terms of nightlife is Puerto Banus. There are lots of bars and nightclubs on the street behind the promenade and in June it should be packed. Be wary of the prices though, it costs a fortune for booze.

In my experience Marbella has gone downhill since the last years. I will only refer to Puerto Banús as this is where I usually stay.

I've been going each year since 2008 and I liked it at the beginning but after last June I decided that I won't go back anymore. I will either hit Tarifa, Cadiz or one of the Balearic Islands.

Now what you can find there is :
French from the Hoods of Paris
Hordes of Brits drunk 24/7 (thanks Ryanair)
Very rich Arabs pimping in Lamborghini/Ferrari.

It has become a "garbage" version of Saint-Tropez.

As for the prices, it has gone up drastically the past years. To give you an idea, we went one afternoon to Ocean Club. They asked 900EUR for a bed for 4 people (drinks not included).
At Olivia Valeire, we took a bottle at 500EUR and we were far away from the dance floor. It's 1000EUR to be near the dance floor and 1500EUR on the dance floor.

As for the girls, lots of brits of course, Russian/EE but interested in €€€€ and few spanish chicks (apart from staff). I heard Spanish chicks go out more in Malaga.

I have a friend who kills it every summer there but he hangs out with a pro tennis player who spends tons of cash.

On the port there a lot of Bars but the public is 90% english and I didn't really enjoy it.

You can still try Funky Buddha or Olivia Valeire by night. Olivia Valeire cover is something like 50EUR.
By day, ocean club, nikki beach, or the cheapest one which is in front of Park Plaza Suite Appartments (can't remember the name of the beach).

Btw there was good ambiance in this Puente Romano thing.
The "suite del Mar" was a nice restaurant who turned into club after dinner with good music and cute girls. Easier to game than in Olivia Valeire. But last June the restaurant was closed...

There are not many touristic spots in Marbella. The beach is kinda crappy too.

Regarding local girls, I am not a huge fan of Catalan girls so in that sense I would say they are easier than Catalan.
The locals I knew/met were the typical daughters of millionaire fathers.
