The point of the replies to things like this never surprise me, which is actually tragic in and of itself. It should be surprising that people would take advice offered to basically make themselves better and think of that as a personal insult - it's crazy how hard these broads dig in on their right to essentially be worse human beings. Rallying for the right to be overweight, unfeminine, unrefined and overall less appealing as human beings (let alone as potential mates/mothers/etc) should be remarkable, not expected.

No, what always surprises me is the tone these supposedly "civilized" and "progressive" writers take in their critiques. It's never a direct analysis or a counterpoint offered, it's just a lot of:

...and similar snark that sounds like somebody who thinks they're funnier than they are and doesn't realize they're less correct and knowledgable than they'll ever know. These female writers (and white knights) who write pieces like this are clearly of the opinion they've missed their calling as a stand-up comedian or a writer on "2 Broke Girls". That, at least to me, is the most damnable part of these articles.

One commenter says they should all avoid buying the book to "rage read" it and instead read it at Barnes & Noble and "spill coffee all over it". Fucking savages, I thought progressives were all about allowing freedom of expression and all ideas to be available for consideration? Leave it to these liberal nut jobs to basically advocate a milder equivalent of book-burning and somehow not see the hypocrisy.

It's articles like this that let me know that while they are ubiquitous on the internet, the feminist-progressives are still losing because their entire foundation is inferior. Chickens always come home to roost.

The reason they can have the tone is because they are preaching to the choir. They don't need to offer legitimate counterpoints and direct analysis because they don't have to convince their readers of anything. The women and white knights already subscribe to the brand of thoughts pre-approved by Jezebel, and unfortunately, by a large portion of the general populace. Whereas we have to make real points and 20 minute youtube videos dissecting the ideas behind these insane cultural movements. When you have the majority on your side, you have no such obligation. It's like when me and my friends used to make fun of weird kids at our school. I didn't need to offer poignant analysis of why Alex Bedeker was a fucking dweeb, I could just call him a fag and we'd have a laugh and move on.

Meanwhile, there's an entire generation of women over 35 who are single, childless, and in a state of complete desperation because of their bad decisions. They're thinking to themselves, "why didn't anyone tell me this when I was in college?!"

These are the women fueling the fast rise of the dating coach and infertility industries. They don't read Jezebel, they read online dating profiles hoping that Mr. Alpha McDreamy notices them and sends them an online message. They embrace their identity as the StrongAndIndependent woman yet quietly read the 50 Shades of Grey novels over and over as they yearn for a dominant man like Christian Grey. These are the women in a charismatic guy's soft harem, if they are attractive enough.

Jezebel readers and writers are statistical outliers. They live on the fringe trying so hard to get the rest of the world to validate their own shitty decisions and lifestyle choices. These are marginal people similar to the mentally ill. But mental illness can be treated. The Jezebel mentality can't. Leave them be because they are young, foolish, and not worthy intellectually.

Why should men copy links of Jezebel, give them traffic and read trash knowing it is going to be trash?

After all, the women need our attention more then their daily bread.

This. Ban all Jezebel, PUAHate and other nonsense. It does nothing for us. I'd like to see people spending their energy bringing helpful info to the forum as opposed to this waste of bandwidth, which is pure negativity.
