Here's the deal. I got 2 weeks of vacation time coming up in May. Debating on either going to Poland or Romania. I've read through the Poland and Romania(a little lacking) threads so I've got a pretty good idea what's in store in both places.

Romania:
1) Bucharest for a first time visitor to Romania? Any other cities worth checking out?
2) Round trip flight would cost me $900.
3) Planning on renting an apartment. About $50-60/night in downtown.
4) I don't speak Romanian. Do the average people under 30 speak English?
5) I prefer the tan/olive complexion with dark hair and green/blue eyes. Blondes with blue/green eyes I like also. However, it seems like there's a lot of variety in terms of looks in Romania. Anyone can verify this?

Poland:
1) Warsaw. Not really considering other cities right now. I know a Polish friend (girl) who lives in Warsaw with her Spanish boyfriend (a guy I'm also friends with). Through them, I can get into a social circle and meet some girls.
2) Round trip flight is $900.
3) Renting an apartment. About $50-60/night in downtown.
4) Don't speak a lick of Polish. However, I gather that a lot of younger Poles speak moderate to fluent English.
5) Only EE city I've been to was Prague in 2005. Hooked up with a local Czech girl...about a 6.5 or 7. She liked to bang foreigners. Met her female friends too. Definitely gave me the eye.

About me:
Asian American, 35 but looks 27 or 28 (it's the genes), 5'9", athletic toned body, good social skills, fashionably and sharply dressed, good looking.

It seems that the flight and currency exchange rates are almost the same for Poland and Romania....so money won't really factor into my decision.
So, gentlemen, taking everything into account...logistics, beauty of the women, ease of hooking up (don't necessarily need ONS), etc., which country, in your opinion, can I get the most bang for my buck?

^^ I think the last thread was about Warsaw vs. Colombian cities. Once again LostAwake, I say go to Warsaw for the social connections and ins because you never know when your peers there might move on to different pastures. Cities in Romania & Colombia will always be there, but the "in" around Warsaw might not always be there.

Btw had a Portuguese friend indicate weaknesses about Warsaw if going alone, but that it's a great city with connections & pre-existing socials there. He did well...bc of his circles.

Both Polish and Romanian chicks are DTF with Asian dudes btw. Had a Romanian chick on my nuts in Wroclaw, but she wasn't my type. She's a contact for me personally (engaged now) if I ever visit Bucharest for her circle of chicks though.

How about reading existing threads on these 2 cities?...there is always a danger the answers to many of your questions are already answered

As many can attest to...I ask a zillion questions before going somewhere, lol. Just do it on pre-existing threads next time.

How good is this "social circle" in Warsaw, and how much value are you going to get out of it in 2 weeks? If you have an awesome connection there, then sure. but that's the real question, the quality of the connections.

^^ Excellent question Tenerife. Some circles can be time wasting liabilities that will push their agenda on you whereas others have genuinely got your back making sure you get to do all the things you want as their guest.

My social circle in Warsaw is a Polish girl and her Spanish boyfriend. They couchsurfed at my place for a few days. Showed them around my city and they met my friends. They had a really hard time trying to find a place to couchsurf in my city so I basically saved their asses. They were very thankful and wanted me to visit them. We still keep in touch. So I'm not sure if that's what you call a quality connection or not.

Brosemite, good to know that Polish and Romanian chicks are DTF with Asian dudes. I got my Romanian flag here in my city. Girl was here working for 6 months. She did not look typical Romanian though....tall, blonde, blue eyes....damn that girl was nuts!
