You're absolutely right. It's comical how poor these chicks' advice was. I especially found funny the girl in the first group of girls he talked to, saying how a guy has to first buy her a drink. She's decent and I would totally fuck her brains out, but I would never by that broad a 25 cent gum ball. I'm normally pretty nice to girls who are only worth sex to me, but girls like this I like to teach lessons to and give them a taste of their own medicine.

In general, women never offer any good advice. That goes for Moms, sisters, etc. They will usually say things like "be a gentleman, buy flowers," but honestly that's all crap and them just trying to pussify you. I wouldn't even argue with any woman about this because it would be like talking to a brick wall. If you want to be good with chicks you watch what the other guys who are good are doing. That's why a resource like this forum is invaluable.

If that dude came up to me in the club and said, "what's the best way to pick up chicks in the club?" I'd say: be in a good mood, don't give a shit, don't take shit, and have some balls.

Watching this was extremely painful.

I don't know what was worse. The extreme betatude expressed by the male interviewer in actually asking women for pickup advice or being irritated by watching these women stall for time as they contemplated what string of words they could use to construct a sentence that would disguise how uselessly equipped they were to offer any such advice.

This trope has been repeated a million times but I don't care: I think it's one of the most important things for beginners to learn. Women won't tell you what they want, they'll tell you what weeds out whoever are the true alphas. They don't know what it's like on our end, they only know what it's like to being taken by a man.

Absolute truth.

I do use female advisors on gift giving and for things like good places to shop for cheap but good clothes or great places to put together a certain type of costume. Also ask them occasionally if one shirt looks better than another but I'd like to get to the point where any advice they can give me on style is moot because I already have similar/better style than them.

The phrases "no", "i don't have sex on the first date", and "i just want a nice guy" are commonplace for a reason.

I wrote a blog piece on this a couple of months ago.

If a guy wants to teach another guy how to pick up girls, the student asks "so, how many girls have you slept with/picked up?" Why? So he can gauge how good his teacher is.

Why would you ask a girl how to pick up girls if they've never picked up girls?

Absolutely agree - you can useful advice on peripheral issues from women, but yeah... Just be yourself.

At one level, the worst advice you'll ever get because it tells you nothing.

On the flip side, the best advice you'll ever get. If you're "yourself" and don't give a shit about anyone else, have a blast at social events .... You're outcome independent, funny, confident, assertive and women just lap it up.

At least that's how I experienced that advice. But I was only myself when I wasn't trying to be myself in the first place. Isn't obvious now that I am not myself?
