Authorities in Washington State believe that a series of murders of prostitutes in 1990 were committed by Washington resident Douglas Perry. Now Perry has been captured and charged with the murders, but Douglas has become "Donna," a transgender woman who claims that she is not responsible for the murders because Douglas no longer exists.

Although, it'll be interesting if its lawyer puts forth an insanity plea.

Which would make for a better case, and would set an appetizing precedent.

Arguing that the "old you" no longer exists may work when you're trying to avoid debt collectors but murder is a whole other thing. It's like going to church and confessing to a crime. Sure you can get forgiveness but the law doesn't give a shit.

I am more curious if she/he will be sent to a man or women's prison since she/he committed the murders as a man and then convicted as a women
