The study, conducted by Brazil's Institute for Applied Economic Research (IPEA), showed that 66.5 percent of the surveyed pool were in fact, women. The institute interviewed a reflective sample of 3,810 Brazilians via questionnaire across 212 cities between May and June of 2013.

Brazilian women instantly reacted and took to social media and blogs to start a conversation about the study's revelations, keeping the story relevant and trending for more than 24 hours. In protest, Brazilian journalist Nana Queiroz created a Facebook event and hashtag to confront the outrage. The hashtag is appropriately titled #NãoMereçoSerEstuprada, which translates to '#IDon'tDeserveToBeRaped.'

In an organized call to action, on March 28 at 8 p.m. Brazilian local time, women were encouraged to share photos of themselves topless while covering their breasts with a sign that showcased the aforementioned hashtag. The Facebook event also specified that if women were uncomfortable posting topless photos, they should pose fully clothed. The important thing, the journalist explained, was that "they, as women, demonstrate that no one can claim ownership over their bodies either than themselves."

Safado, have you heard here in SP a man ejaculated in a woman inside the subway at the rush hour? He also tried to pull her pants off.
The men inside the subway started to hit him hard.

At the police office he said he couldn't hold any longer. He grabbed her hand too. More than 20 men where arrested due rape acusations (with whitnessess)

This is why I think the campaign got popular. Something that happens everyday got even more serious. This is not "drunk rape" he said, she said. There are some creepy men organizing themselves to attack women on Facebook here in São Paulo at the rush hour, inside the poorest neighborhoods using the trains wagons. Look up for "Encoxada", "encoxar", etc... =[

Some guys are kind enough although the fuzz at rush hour to be as far as they can from you. Others, not really and they are horny (been through it). I hit them hard with my elbow. Some women are in shame to say something and things go backfire (to be bullied by people or even the guy, following them until home)

That said, don't think this a feminazi event. There are some really fucked up things going on at least in my city.

RIO DE JANEIRO - Female commuters filled women-only, pink-striped subway cars yesterday on the first day of a program to avert groping and other unwanted sexual advances.

A law passed by the state legislature and signed by Rio Gov. Rosinha Matheus last month obliges the underground Metro and above-ground railways to have separate passenger cars for women during the weekday rush hours.

One car in every one of Metro Rio's 33 trains is marked with pink stripes on doors or windows. "It's the first day today and we had women applauding when men, who had entered their carriage without knowing the rule, got off," a spokeswoman for the private Metro Rio company said.

Frequent complaints from women commuters about sexual harassment in crowded railway cars had prompted state legislators to pass the bill. Reuters

As you can see on the link above, there are other cities around the world that have dealt with this, and it reached the level of something that was considered serious.
