This is a bit of an odd case - the guy let his cattle trespass on federal land for over 15 years. Clearly the escalation didn't happen overnight.

This was pretty interesting, apparently the government's spent way more sending militarized police in to stop one rancher than it would have cost to fund a canceled program to save the same tortoises from real estate developers around Las Vegas. And cutting that program apparently involves euthanizing most of the captive tortoises.

just basically another assault on US landowner's rights from what I heard. Highly doubt the case is over though.

Also, apparently there's some sort of angle here whereby Harry Reid (Democratic Senator from Nevada)'s son is angling to buy/take some of that land and use it for a Chinese solar panel farm?? Not suprising if true....unbelievable what foreign influence can buy in the USA.

What trips me out is the feds BACKED OUT because there was supposedly there was a pretty well armed militia that was staging at the ranch, this would look REAL bad if blood was shed.
