Beta in Film
First, and probably the archetype of the beta is "Marty" with the great actor Ernest Borgnine.

This scene is the epitome of Beta.

Notice how he keeps playing with his food but doesn't indulge? If you are player, indulge in food. Women like to see that. But, don't look all starving and desperate. They are going to look at how you eat the food and imagine that's how you eat their pussies.

RE: Beta in Film
Yeah so he behaves like a loser but he also has a point. I mean, he is fat, probably short and his face isn't particularly attractive as far as I can tell. He also has no charm and no confidence which is something you're not gonna acquire at that point in life anymore. Let's also remember the simple fact the guy lives with his mother.

So I applaud the man for facing the facts and giving up. In some cases, it is the rational thing to do.What is better for one's happiness, trying and failing or not trying at all? This is assuming that success is not a real option. Which, for him, it probably isn't.

No, at that point in life the last thing on that guy's mind should be trying to pick up women. It should be to get his miserable piece of shit life together.

So yes, beta, but also smart enough to know the race is over. I dare say that is a smarter loser than the one who keeps trying 'till the grave.

Edit: Ok so eventually he meets an ugly woman and that's the story. Pretty typical. If he'd done something about his miserable life do you think he could've gotten a non-ugly woman?

Ironically he does behave far stronger now that he is getting some.

Pussy is like the quickening. It gives you a rush of life.

What funny about that movie is that Borgnine is actually very charismatic- I think he won an oscar.

I've got to watch all of this now. I remember it being mentioned in the movie "Quiz Show."

“Your worst enemy cannot harm you as much as your own unguarded thoughts.”
